Let's talk about the Core.
The core is our body major stabliser which protects the spine from injury. Having a weak inactive core is basically like having a length of chain with links missing out of it ๐ often causing disfunctional movement patterns as forces often are transfered through the core from the ground up and vise versa.
The key to having a nice strong core is about becoming more aware with how it actually moves through the 5 movement patterns below and then programing exercisers that compliment these movements
1.) Hip Extension
2.) Hip Flexion
3.) Side Hip Flexion
4.) Rotation
5.) Anti Bracing
In this video I'm using the TRX Suspension Trainer throughout these movements, but these can also be performed with other functional training tools to keep the body always guessing ๐ง.
Make sue to incorporate them into your next workout and your body will perform as a unit instead of a sum of broken parts.
