🏉 TACKLE READY – FINAL SESSION 🏉

This Saturday marks the final Tackle Ready session for our Central Burnett U8 players.

Tackle Ready is an NRL program designed to introduce young players to safe and effective tackling techniques in a fun, supportive environment. The program helps build confidence, teaches correct fundamentals, and ensures players are prepared to safely transition into tackle rugby league.

This is the final session in the program, and attendance is important for all U8 players and coaches as we continue developing skills, confidence and a strong foundation for the future.

As the season rolls on, the Central Burnett Rugby League would like to remind everyone of something at the heart of our game…

Every match, training session, canteen shift, committee meeting, and game day is made possible by volunteers giving their time to our community.

Coaches, managers, League Safe Officers, First Aid Officers, referees, touch judges, committee members, canteen workers, grounds staff, and administrators all volunteer their time—often while balancing work, family, and personal commitments—because they care about players and the game.

Their work starts long before Round 1 and continues well after the final whistle, helping create a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Volunteers are sometimes required to make difficult decisions, enforce policies, and apply rules. While these decisions may not always be popular, they are essential to maintaining the safety, fairness, and integrity of our competition.

At CBRL, we ask everyone—players, parents, coaches, officials, and spectators—to show respect.

Respect the referee doing their best.
Respect the volunteer preparing the grounds.
Respect the committee member answering messages after hours.
Respect the coach helping players grow.
Respect every person who contributes to our game.

A little patience, understanding, and kindness can make a world of difference.

Every club in our competition relies on volunteers. As does our league.

Without the dedication of volunteers, there simply is no game.

Congratulations to our C206 Citrus Player of the Match and Encouragement Award winners from the weekend in Eidsvold. A great day of footy hosted by Mundubbera/ Eidsvold Junior Rugby.

Well done to our Under 6's player Callum, Under 12's player Aylieena and Under 14's player Mason for receiving the Central Burnett Rugby League Inc. Player of the round for their age divisions.
