A huge weekend for Gawler Tennis in the Tennis SA Winter Pennant Grand Finals!

🥇 Men’s Division 2 Open Doubles — PREMIERS
Gawler produced a dominant Grand Final performance at Essex Park, defeating Peake Gardens 4 rubbers to 0 without dropping a set.

An outstanding way to finish a fantastic season — congratulations boys! 👏🔥

🥈 Women’s Division 4 Gold — RUNNERS-UP
Golden Grove proved too strong on their home courts, but what a season from our junior development girls in their very first Winter Pennant campaign.

To finish second and reach a Grand Final in year one is a brilliant achievement and a huge step forward for their development. 💙💚

With winter now wrapped up, attention turns straight to summer!

It’s a pretty special snapshot of what we’re building at GDTA — young players developing their game, making friendships and enjoying tennis together under the lights.

🎾🔥 GAWLER TENNIS — 2 HIGH-LEVEL MALE PLAYERS WANTED 🔥🎾

We’re building something exciting for this summer — and we need two more male players with a UTR of 7.0+ to help complete our squad.

For the 2026/27 summer season, Gawler Tennis is planning to nominate:

🏆 A team in the Tennis SA Metro League competition
🎾 A second team in a high-level NETA division

Together, these two teams will form the foundation of our new Gawler Tennis Senior Elite Squad — a minimum 10-player squad designed to train, compete and develop together across the summer.

Our aim is to create a genuine high-performance environment in the Gawler region, providing stronger competition, quality training and a clear pathway for our best senior and emerging players.

🚨 RIGHT NOW, WE NEED TWO MORE MALE PLAYERS WITH A UTR OF 7.0 OR ABOVE.

Metro League nominations close next week, so we need Expressions of Interest urgently to finalise the team.

You don’t necessarily need to already be part of Gawler Tennis — if you’re a strong player interested in being part of an ambitious regional squad, we want to hear from you.
