Next Up, Our Vice Captain, Lilly Knappick!

WORDS FROM THE COACH
With one JSA carnival already under her belt last year Lilly hit the ground running from day 1 this year. Her will to compete and her drive has been evident from the moment I met her.

Even before being elected our Vice Captain Lilly has always been a leader within our squad. While some lead with words, she always leads with her actions. No challenge is left unconquered for this young force of nature.
As the engine room of our attack Lilly has a drive and a relentlessness about her play style that is infectious within the team. When times are tough you just know she will be working until the final whistle regardless of the score.

You might think all this drive and competitive edge would make her all business. But don’t be fooled. Behind her steely resolve and determination is a bright and fun-loving character who is always up for a laugh or an extra bit of mischief. She’s a pleasure to work with and has an extremely bright future in one of the many sports or disciplines in which she excels.

I cannot wait to see what this year's carnival has in store for her, but I know for sure she will dive in head first and give it everything she has.

🖤💛 The countdown is on – Celebrate our New Courts💛🖤

We can't wait to officially celebrate our brand new courts and share this exciting milestone with our netball community.

A reminder to all of our junior players to please be at the courts by 8:15am sharp on Saturday.

We look forward to seeing all our players, families, supporters, and special guests as we celebrate this fantastic achievement together.

⚫🟡 M-LEAGUE SEASON IS HERE! 🟡⚫

Lockyer Valley Netball Association is now taking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for players, coaches, managers and umpires interested in being part of our 2026 M-League campaign! What is M-League we hear you ask? Mixed M-League is Queensland's elite Mixed Netball Competition, bringing together the State's best female and male talent from 14&U Juniors to Opens.

📅 Season Dates:
• Starts: 17 September
• Finishes: 11 December

🏆 Divisions & Competition Nights:
• U14, U16 & U18 – Thursday nights
• U23 & Open – Friday nights

Teams will be formed based on the EOI nominations received, with player trials to be held on a date to be advised.

Whether you're looking to take the court, guide a team from the sidelines, or develop your officiating skills, we'd love to hear from you!

First up, Our Captain Matilda Lehne

WORDS FROM THE COACH
Tilly came to us at trials at the end of last year with almost no netball experience and just a mountain of potential. Since that day there has never been a more committed and passionate member of our team. Her dedication to her training and her teammates has been unmatched and for this, the group has rewarded her with the position of our team captain.

Not only is she the heart of our team she is the heart of our midcourt. She holds down the centre position with strength, grace and a competitive fire that is infectious throughout the team.

Tilly has a cool and calm personality with an absolute heart of gold blended with an unwavering sense of grit and determination that as a coach makes her an absolute dream to work with. I couldn’t be more proud of her. Knowing that this is just the very beginning of her netball journey I cannot wait to see what she achieves this year with her netball but also her future as a leader looks incredibly bright.

Registrations are now open for 16U & 18U players who wish to represent Darling Downs Panthers at the 2026 Netball Queensland State Titles.

2026 State Titles will be held at Nissen Arena from 20th-22nd September 2026. Players are to stay with team in Brisbane for the duration of the competition. Competition, uniform and operation costs to be advised for selected players.

Trial details are below:
16U Trials - Players born 2010 & 2011
- Monday 20th July 2026
- Time: 5.30pm-8pm
- Venue - Downlands College

18U Trial - Players born 2008 & 2009
- Monday 20th July 2026
- Time: 5.30pm-8pm
- Venue - Downlands College

Cost: $35 (non-refundable)
