New Training Block is Here!

The next 12 weeks we are focusing on building up our main lifts; squat, bench and deadlift by starting with volume work to ingrain good technique and we'll increase the weights up for the end of the block

We're keeping in hypertrophy/body building work with our acccessories to increase muscle mass and support those main lifts

We're also focusing on our fitness with sustained efforts at the back end of our sessions to build up our cardio

THIS SUNDAY Herstrength will be participating in the Lake Mac Women in Sport "Try a Sport Day" held at Speers Point Park alongside the Homegrown Markets 🏋️‍♀️

Come and find our stall between 10am and 2pm to meet the coaches, hear from a few of our lovely members and jump in on a fun challenge to potentially win a $100 gift card or 6 weeks of FREE training with us 💪

You don’t need any fancy equipment to start going to the gym..

Keep it simple! Most gyms will have everything you need to get in great session without you needing to bring much

There are only 5 things you should considering taking for your first season:

💧Pretty obvious but a water bottle is important to keep you hydrated during your session
🧖‍♀Most gyms will require you need a sweat towel but it’s always a nice courtesy to use them
🎧If you’re not doing a group class or you feel anxious about going to the gym, taking your ear phones and playing your favourite music can help you feel more comfortable and enjoy your session a whole lot more
📒 Planning your session a head of time will ensure you get the most out of your sessiono if you don’t join a class or have a coach already
🤩 The most important - remember to be kind to yourself and not beat yourself up if you don’t do everything perfectly straight away or don’t get all your sesson done straight away. This is one of many sessions you will have and that’s where your progress will come from!

Don’t worry about filling up your gym bag wth unnecessary stuff because that’s what fitness influencers are telling you! Turning up consistently and trying your best if your first step towards a better you
