📣 Update: APC Hickstead Derby practice day with Gemma Tinney Eventing: Wet weather update 📣

The Arcadia Pony Club Inc. Committee is aware of the forecast rain over the next few days. ☔️

👀 We will monitor the grounds and the weather with a decision to be made by Friday 7pm if the event will go ahead or be postponed to a new date.

🗓️ For all Arcadia Pony Club riders - in the event of postponing our clinic, we will still run an unmounted PCA Certificate session from 8.30am so please keep this time free. Details in your inbox.📥

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱?
Over two rounds, riders build the skills to jump technical or spooky fences with coaching from an Australian Squad representative, Gemma Tinney Eventing.
Jump grading is also available.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲?
Hedges, barrels, rustic rails, gates, Hickstead planks, brick wall, style, triple bar, fan jump, swedish oxer, liverpool and traditional show jumps.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘀 𝗯𝗲?
We are catering to all levels of riders - heights include poles (Led/assisted), 30cm, 45cm, 60cm, 75cm and 90cm.

PLUS we are also offering...

It’s been a busy few weeks for Arcadia and our fabulous riders. Lots to celebrate and even more to build on for our upcoming rally days and events!

𝗛𝗮𝘄𝗸𝗲𝘀𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 - 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

Alison (APC’s wonderful Senior Instructor) and her horse the famous Ginger Ninja 🧡 were awarded Reserve Champion in the hotly contested Master's Class! A huge thank you to Vines Pony Club for your amazing support not only of the Master’s classes but your inclusivity of other local clubs to your events.

𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟵 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
Arcadia Pony Club Inc. and Dural Pony Club are very excited to offer this cross country clinic to our riders. 🤩

Holly Anderson Eventing is a 3* Eventer specialising in high performance training of young and upcoming horses and riders. She is an Equestrian Australia Coach, coaching in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney and competing throughout Australia.

Holly spent her early years riding at Forest Hills Pony Club competing successfully in Zone 23, State and National events with her forward, talented pony that she trained successfully herself. This has given her an opportunity to understand complex training and help other young pony club riders be the best they can be.

Holly is a sensitive and considered coach recognising that different horses and riders have different learning styles and training is not a one size fits all. She is able to personalise her coaching to meet the rider where they are at in their own journey.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰
✅ 1.5 hour session with groups of 4-5 riders allocated by XC grade.
✅ Clinic numbers are capped to 20

NB. NO FEE for APC and DPC 2026 riding members.

𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀
In addition to the clinic, APC and DPC will also be running the following rally day sessions delivered by our instructors:
✅ Show Riding and Gymkhana preparation for those planning on attending the Hawkesbury Show Pony Club ring on Friday 24th April 2026.
✅ Sporting practice for Dural Pony Club's open fun day on 17 May
✅ An introduction to cross country riding (poles on the ground) and a trail ride around the Dural Pony Club grounds for those who want to experience cross country without having to do the bigger jumps.

This is a great opportunity for our new riders, on lead riders, or those with young or inexperienced horses.

Yes! Riders get to miss school to compete for our pony club! Woo hoo! It's a great day out and we usually have a strong contingent at the event. The benefit of this event is the Beginner and Transitional Ring as well as Open Rings so everyone gets to compete at their own age and skill level.
