Next Sunday 24th March the Halls Gap Golf Club is hosting a special golf day in honour of Rick, co-owner of the Kookaburra for 43 years. Rick sadly passed away before ever getting to see full use of his new Golf Clubs, which are up for grabs in a raffle, with the proceeds going to the golf club where he spent most his social time. Hit off is from 11:30am, to register contact Niell 0417 554 619. Presentations and celebrations will be held at the Kookaburra post event.



Note: The Kookaburra will be closed to the public on Sunday 24th for this special event.

We invite all members to join us at the Halls Gap Golf Club on Tuesday 30th January at 5pm for the Annual General Meeting.

Just a reminder to all members, attendance at the AGM is not about being coerced into being on the Committee, it is more about you providing your input and showing your support for a Golf Club and a Golf Course which let's be honest is achieving remarkable results, and something you all should be proud of. Anyone wishing to nominate for the Committee or nominate a Proxy can do with the forms attached to your member emails. These can be emailed back to me or presented at the AGM on the day.

We're looking forward to the club continuing to grow in 2024. See you all there!

Halls Gap Christmas Classic 🏆 Results!

Firstly, thanks to everyone that turned out for our annual Christmas Classic golf event on Sunday. We had a big field involved which was great to see, and everyone would agree the weather was absolutely perfect! ☀️

The game layout was 27 Hole 3 person Ambrose, with our famous “big holes” for the first 9 holes, then regular size holes for the second 9, then choose either hole for the last 9 holes. The winners in the 27 hole format were:

1st: Daniel Crawford, Jamie Dowling and Tevis Wright with an outstanding 91/3/88.

2nd: Charlie Mcintosh, Caleb Bretherton and Marcus Elliott with 96/3/93.

3rd: Rikki Mcintosh, Jason Pitt, and Ben Dover with 97/3.5/93.5.

The NAGA prize went to Max McMahon, Brady McMahon and Riley Pevitt with 120/10/110

We also had 3 Nearest there Pins for the day. They went to:

Par3 5th: Charlie Mcintosh

Par3 9th: Stephen Johnston

And the drivable Par4 10th on the day went to Mark Dodds!

Congratulations to all the winners, and a huge thanks to all the volunteers who prepared the course to its amazing state once again! It really was in fabulous shape! And thanks also to the volunteers on the day running the event, cooking BBQ, supplying food and drink, and stocking eski’s around the course etc etc. Events like this don’t run without all that help. 🙌

Lastly, from all of us at Halls Gap Golf Club we wish you all a safe and happy festive season. See you all again at one of our events next year!
