A small contingent headed to Nationals - all too busy swimming for photos but Steve Towner reported: “Well, for me, there were plenty of "special" moments. Cam McEvoy's swims and the time he spent having photos and signing autographs. The standard of swimming across all age groups - male and female. The comradery between all clubs and states. Queensland swimming was exceptional. But the absolute highlight was being a part of the Warringah team. The support, encouragement and friendship was a joy to be a part of.”

Thanks to our principal sponsor Vege Chips for their support of our training programs!

Catch up report on the Mingara Pelicans carnival where only a small Warringah contingent competed. Still, three placegetters: Helen White a 1st in her age group, a 2nd for John de Vries and 3rd for Rowan Jacob. Our two relay teams - Mixed 200+ and Mixed 280+ came 2nd in their age groups. Well done all. Thanks as always to our principal sponsor Vege Chips and also pureauaustralia.

We like to think that our Tuesday evening sprint sessions are only for the most serious, competition-focused members.

That apparently is not the case. Come and try it out if you want to feel Super Human 🦹‍♀🦸‍♂️

An energetic weekend of swimming with the State Long Course Championships rewarded with a first place just 131 points ahead of a determined Blacktown team, and Manly in 3rd place. Lots of age group place getters: 2nd Kayley James, 1st Claire Egbers, 3rd Nicola Pervan, 2nd Helen White, 3rd Helen Campbell, 3rd Bridget Cook, 3rd Michel Le Vieux, 1st Stuart Meares, 2nd John de Vries, 1st Abel Bornstein along with many other gutsy performances. As well, in relays quite a few firsts and many placings (good picks from ‘Buster’). A great turn out helping seal the deal! Club Captain Richard Peterson a very happy Chappy! The Saturday presentation dinner saw our club well represented: winner 2025 BPS and winner Brian Hird Trophy. As well, honoured to be awarded Club of the Year. For 2025. Tony Gallagher (Club Sec) recognised with the Administration Award and Helen Campbell was nominated Official of the year. Charmaine Groppler picked up a ‘maximum swims’ award in the aerobics program. Over the weekend, many of our club on deck as officials including Helen C, Julia A, Stuart M, Tony T and Ray B while Charmaine G worked the medal table. And thanks also to everyone who did timekeeping. After that, a well deserved celebration at the Clubhouse (aka The Belrose Hotel). Thanks as usual to our principal sponsor vegechips together with pureauaustralia. Photos by Bridget Cook, Graham Campbell & Tony Gallagher.

A very successful night for the club at the presentation night last night.

Individual awards went to Tony Gallagher (Administrator of the Year) and Helen Campbell (Official of the Year); Warringah also won the division 1 Branch Point Score for 2025, the Brian Hird Trophy (awarded to the club that wins the most points over all the weekend carnivals held in a calendar year), and the Club of the Year.

There were also age group wins for Julia Atkins, Helen Campbell, Cameron Jones, Steve Towner and Graham Campbell. Charmaine Groppler also won for 'Max Swims' in the E1000 program.

Congratulations to all the winners on the night (and there were many), it was so great to celebrate our 2025 achievements as a swimming community as a group.
