Jka-Skc Alpine Shotokan Karate

Jka-Skc Alpine Shotokan Karate ASSK Alpine is the local dojo for Shotokan Karate for people living in Bright and surrounds. This club is affiliated with JKA-SKC, the AKF and WKF.

Instructor, Sensei Katrina Ciolli has been training Shotokan Karate for 30 years. She is a registered Karate coach with the NCAS and holds a 4th Dan black belt. Our Alpine dojo of JKA-SKC Shotokan Karate opened in 2015. I enjoy sharing my skills and knowledge of this martial art with locals and visitors to the Bright and surrounds. Shotokan Karate is a traditional, unarmed Japanese form of martial art.

Despite a few disruptions, 2021 was a great year for all of us at JKA-SKC Alpine Dojo. There was still plenty of karate, along with gradings for most students and of course some online Zoom training.
Enjoy the summer break and we'll be back in the dojo towards the end of January.

Congratulations to Astrid, who was awarded her JKA Shodan rank at training tonight.

Astrid has trained in many places under many different instructors and she continues to seek out new training experiences along with regular sessions in the dojo. We are fortunate to have her enthusiasm and knowledge in our dojo for about 6 months each year as she shares her time between QLD and Vic.

Well done Astrid on this achievement as you continue along your karate journey.
