tawe nunnugah 2021 has made it to Dover in Sth Tassie this afternoon.

After having to weather some stormy weather amd high winds at Recherche Bay and then making a dash to Southport in lighter winds the assorted fleet of small boats and support craft has made it safely into Dover today.

Here is an assortment of photos from the first 5 day or so in no particular order.

Tawe Nunnugah 2021. (aka The Raid) kicked off yesterday. It was a busy day transporting participants boats and equipment to the first campsite at Recherche’ Bay in Southern Tasmania.

After setting up camp we started with a welcome to county and a smoking ceremony conducted by representatives of the local indigenous community.

The next ten days will see the fleet of small sailing boats make their way up to Franklin on the Huon River once the forecasted 30knt winds abate. 😳😂
