📣 Forth Cricket Club - New Name, Same Game!

INSPIRATIONS PAINT CENTRAL COAST CRICKET CLUB

As another new cricket season starts, we would like to remind our followers that as of August 2020 the Forth CC amalgamated with East Ulverstone CC to become the Inspirations Paint Central Coast Cricket Club. (See pinned post on this FB Page).

⚫️⚪️ 🏏 Magpies Return to the Forth Grounds ⚫️⚪️

The Inspirations Paint Central Coast Cricket Club B Grade Team are playing at the Forth Recreation Ground today at 11am.

Several Forth Cricket Club players are in this team and looking forward to returning to their old nest!

Lovely day to come down and watch some cricket and support the old Pies☀️

It is with great sadness that I inform everyone of the passing of a true great club man, Darren 'Dog' Steven.

For those who were unaware, Dog has been battling ill health for some time now. He was fortunate to have the love and support of his family, Forth great and life member Mark Steven, and brother Craig in his own right a true club man for the Forth Cricket Club.

As a club, we have been truly honoured to have the Steven family as part of our club history. Playing along side Dog is an experience like no other and something I and all his team mates will cherish.

Walking in to those club rooms will never feel quite the same without hearing the laugh of both him and Craig together, again, an experience like none other.

Our deepest sympathy to George, Edna and all their family.

As a club, we are still here for each other.

RIP Darren, you will be sadly missed.

As of the 23rd of August 2020, the Forth Inspirations Cricket Club has amalgamated with the East Ulverstone Cricket Club to form a new identity, being the Inspirations Paint Central Coast Cricket Club (The Crows).

We are pleased to announce Inspirations Paint have continued their support and are the major naming rights sponsors of the new CCCC. We are excited by this commitment and look forward to an ongoing partnership with Inspirations Paint into the future.

While this is a sad time in the over 150 year history of the Forth Cricket Club, it is the best way forward to ensure that the FCC has a future for the current players and members.

The Forth Cricket Club rooms and recreation ground will continued to be used for games as a result of the amalgamation and we are pleased to still be able to provide a cricket presence in the Forth Community.

We invite you to like and follow the Inspirations Paint Central Coast Cricket Club page on Facebook to keep up to date with news and events from the Club. The FCC page will continue to be monitored and open for a short period of time.

We would like to thank all those people who have supported the Forth Cricket Club during its history and hope to see you supporting the Inspirations Paint Central Coast Cricket Club at Forth or Haywoods Reserve soon.

The Forth Inspirations Cricket Club will be holding the AGM next Sunday 26 July 2020 at 4pm at the club rooms.

This will be an important meeting leading up to the start of the season and it would be great to have people attend to have a say in the future of the club.

The President, Committee and players, extend their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Shane Yates, in recognition of his contribution and time played at the Forth Cricket Club. Shane succumbed to pancreatic cancer after a 10 month battle and our thoughts are with his daughters Layla and Montanna during this time.

⚫️⚪️🚨Annual Dinner Postponed🚨⚪️⚫️

We have reluctantly made the decision to postpone the end of season dinner at this point in time.

There is so much information in relation to the Corona virus that is seems the most responsible course of action is to postpone the event.

We will hold the event at a later date and apologise for any inconvenience.

Forth Insiprations Paint Cricket Club are very proud to announce the following players who were acknowledged and received awards at the Mersey Valley Cricket Association End of Season Presentation Evening.

Best and Fairest A-Grade:
🥇Winner - MARCUS WINTER 21 points
🥈Runner-Up - Mark Hollingsworth 20pts
🥉3rd - Glenn Ellis 17pts
10th - Josh Kirkwood 11pts

Cricketer of the Year A-Grade:

Congratulations to Mark, Marcus, Glenn and Josh for being recognised for their amazing results this season! It is fantastic that the FCC have the top 3 Best and Fairest players for the Competition, as well as the top two players for Cricketer of the Year!

It goes without saying that these guys could not achieve these results without the support of the rest of the team. Well done to all Forth Cricket Club players on an amazing season, where we have united together and played cricket with pride and determination.

While we may not have had the major success we have all worked hard and sacrificed towards, we should be proud of our efforts and want to come back next season and finish with the Cup in our hands.

Best of luck to the two teams in the Grand Final next week.

We hope to see all of our players, family and supporters at the Annual Dinner in 2 weeks time to see the 19/20 season off in style.
