Glutes not growing? This might be the reason.
This does not stop at glutes. Every muscle group has at least one muscle that is optimally trained differently from another.
The glutes here are used as an example of training different movement patterns and ranges of motion to activate particular muscles over others.
No, muscles can not be worked in complete isolation over others in the same area, but they can be emphasised.
If you train the same way, with the same intensity, not experimenting with different ROM, load, or tension lengths. It is very safe to say you are leaving progress on the table.
