I have chosen to sell up my collections of race bikes;

If your interested PM me

Bike #1 -1987 CBR600F1; Just raced this bike for the 2024 APS NZCMRR Series, finishing 3rd in the Pre 89 F2 for 2 years running with the NZCMRR. I have c complete set of road plastics, hand controls (including clip ons), etc and the number plate is on hold. Comes with tyre warmers, 2 sets of rims, has whole lot of trick bits like Tomaselli clip-ons. $7000

Bike #2 - 1992 CBR400RR; Completely overhauled and built leading up to the final Classic Festival at Pukekohe and developed over 2023 to be a top 5 bike, with it producing a very reliable 55hp. Piloted by Karl Smith, he finished 2nd in 2023 and 1st in 2024 in Pre 95 F3 with the NZCMRR. $3000.

Bike #3 - 1988 CBR400RR; Completely overhauled few years back for Amy to pilot, which she done off and on over the past 4 years. From what I understand it was converted into a race bike in the early 1990s by Kevin's (?) Dynotech in Petone and is filled with a whole lot of Moeraki parts. While needing some minor fine tuning from being parked up it still is producing a reliable 55hp. $3000.

Bike #4 - 1995 CBR600FS(3); Brought as a parts bike, once I found the engine started without doing anything, and it sounding crisp and making sure there was enough parts to a complete bike I decided I was going to turn this into a race bike and keep the other as a road bike. Plus its plate is still live. $2000.

Engines; NC23/29 near complete engines and boxes of parts (not shown), plus spare rims and plastic container of spares for the race bikes of most of what you will need to have at the track. $2000 (selling the lot a bulk lot).

Motorcycle trailer; Completely replaced the lighting system about 9 months ago and in great condition. Big enough to comfortably carry 2 of my race bikes and comes with the strops and 2 cables and padlocks to secure it when parked up or travelling. Will need a new plate. $2000.

I also have a 1994 Toyota Hi Ace Super Custom 3Ltr diesel manual van that is registered and warranted and RUCs will be up to date in the next week for $4000. It drinks a bit of water but it engine is sound.

And a road legal (with live plate and a WOF) 1995 CBR600FS(3) I am completing a major service on, which will be ready in the next week or so. $5000.

APS CLASSIC FESTIVAL WAS A HOOT.

Friday's practice was spent checking over and adjusting the bikes for the three of us, with us all set to go for the weekend.

We woke on Saturday morning to the unwelcome noise of rain hitting the roof of the tent. This led to a very tight muscle lower body core qualifying as we watch numerous bikes go down in between our sessions.

When the weather finally broke in the afternoon, the wind and sun did it's best to dry out the track, giving us a decent chance of times. Karl qualified fourteenth and Amy twentieth in their group and George twenty first in his.

Saturday finished on high with the awards for last years placing being handed out (Congrats to Karl for his second place in Pre 95 F3 and George for his third place in Pre 89 F2).

The racing continued with beautiful weather on Sunday with Karl racking up the points to finished first, Amy tenth and George eleventh in their respective classes.

Now the bikes are all back at the workshop to be given some tender loving care before the next round at Hampton Downs on the 25th of Feb.

Much thanks to NZCMRR and their huge group of workers for hosting such a well run meet. And much thanks to Eurobike, Liqui Moly, Dunlop and AAG Motorcycles for ongoing support. And finally our group of pit and support crew, without you we simply wouldn't be having such a great time

Big thumbs up to Dunlop for sponsoring us again this year. These just arrived in time for the trusted team of mechanics at AAG Motorcycles to finish the bikes for us to mix it up at the APS Classic festival on the 3rd and 4th of Feb at Manfeild. Just look for the AAG Motorcycles and Liqui Moly banners outside one of the pit garages and stop in and say hello.

Big shout out to Brett Roberts, who has used his Dyno mastery to get Karl's 1992 CBR400RR's engine running even better. Can't wait to see what this weapon will do now under Karl's brilliant abilities in the saddle.

ROLL ON THE 2024 APS CLASSIC FESTIVAL on the 3rd and 4th of Feb.
