The inaugural Rising Stars Melbourne Tour exceeded every expectation. From elite AFL club experiences and outstanding facilities to lifelong memories and friendships, it was a trip our athletes and families will never forget.

Hope you both have settled back in well and managed to take a breath after the successful Melbourne trip.

Just wanted to thank you both for all that you do for our kids, not only during the Melbourne trip but the guidance and support that you have given Cooper over the last 4 years of being with Rising Stars.

Thanks for giving Cooper the opportunities to follow his passion and to be a part of your first Melbourne trip. He absolutely loved it and would definitely do it again.

Rising Stars Melbourne Tour – Day 6 🔵⚪️⚫️

Another action-packed day for the Rising Stars athletes, kicking off with an early start as we travelled to The Flack Oval, Port Melbourne, to take on Melbourne Grammar.

After the match, the legendary Tim welcomed us back to Brighton for a first-class recovery session. The athletes spent 20 minutes standing in the ocean to freshen up the legs, before AFL draft prospect Arki Butler (hopefully a top-five pick) joined us. The boys loved the opportunity to ask Arki about his football journey, preparation, and what it takes to perform at the highest level.

Recovery continued with a bike flush, mobility work, rolling, and resistance band exercises before the day finished in the best possible way.

Chef Tim took over the kitchen, teaching the boys how to make their own homemade sausage rolls. It was fantastic seeing everyone get involved, and the reward was enjoying their own creations with a hot chocolate to top it all off.

A huge thank you to Tim for everything he has done for our group this week. Your generosity, knowledge, and hospitality have been incredible and have helped make this tour one the athletes will never forget.

Rising Stars Melbourne Tour – Day 5 🔵⚪️⚫️

An early start for the Rising Stars crew as we headed to The Hangar, Essendon’s elite training facility, to watch the Bombers put in the work.

It was fantastic to catch up with Jaxon Prior, Jacob Farrow, Jaxon Artemis and Kayle Gerreyn, all players I had the privilege of coaching in the State 12s program. A special thank you also to Archie Perkins and Andy McGrath for taking the time to come over, chat with our athletes and make the morning one they’ll never forget.

The highlight continued as our athletes took to the field at The Hangar—the same surface used by Essendon and equivalent to Marvel Stadium—to take on Keilor College. It was a terrific challenge that tested our group and provided another invaluable football experience.

A huge thank you to the Essendon Football Club for their incredible hospitality, allowing us to play at their world-class training venue.

To finish an unforgettable day, we jumped on the train and headed to GMHBA Stadium to watch the Geelong Cats take on St Kilda.

Another day packed with learning, memories and opportunities that our Rising Stars athletes will never forget. Thank You Will and the staff.

Rising Stars AFL Melbourne Tour – Day 4 🔵⚪️⚫️

We kicked things off with an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic MCG. Our athletes experienced areas most people only dream of seeing, including the Richmond FC rooms used after last Sunday’s AFL match and the Australian Cricket Team changerooms.

A massive thank you to Geoff, who delivered an exceptional tour filled with amazing stories, history and insights that our group will never forget.

The afternoon was all about making memories, with our parent and son/daughter time giving families the chance to enjoy Melbourne together, while the rest of the squad hit the shops and explored the city.

One of the highlights of the day was catching up with Mat Guelfi from the Essendon Football Club. Mat generously gave his time to chat with our athletes, sharing his AFL journey, insights into elite football and the dedication required to compete at the highest level. An inspiring experience for everyone involved! 🔴⚫

Another fantastic day full of learning, laughter and experiences that will stay with these young athletes for a lifetime. 👊🔵

DAY 3 – THE BEST DAY OF THE MELBOURNE TOUR! 👊🔵⚪️⚫️
What a day from start to finish!
The morning began at Brighton Grammar, where we had the opportunity to watch the First XVIII train before it was time for the Rising Stars athletes to prepare for their own clash at 11:30am.
A massive thank you to Tim, Macca,Sam and everyone at Brighton Grammar including the parents for making us feel so welcome. The hospitality was first class, with a fantastic game, a great lunch, and then an elite recovery session at Foundry to help the athletes recover like the professionals.
We finished an unforgettable day with dinner at the iconic Emerald Hotel, sharing plenty of laughs and memories together.
Days like this are what the Melbourne Tour is all about—learning, competing, recovering, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Without doubt, the best day of the tour so far! 👊🔵⚪️⚫️

Day 2 kicked off with an early gym session followed by a refreshing swim to get the athletes ready for another big day.

Next stop was DFO South Wharf, where the athletes made the most of some incredible bargains, with an extra 40–50% off already reduced prices! Safe to say there were plenty of happy shoppers. 🛍️

In the afternoon, we headed to Albert Park for our Captain’s Run. It was a fantastic hour on the track, with everyone getting plenty of touches and fine-tuning their skills ahead of the next challenge.

We then explored the iconic St Kilda foreshore before finishing the day with an outstanding Italian dinner at Sapore Di Martin, the perfect way to wrap up another memorable day in Melbourne. 🇮🇹🍝 # sapore di martin
