If you've had a baby in the past year and thinking about picking up the weights for the first time or wanting to get back into the gym or home training with weights, read this first to make sure your body is ready.
At Fluro Fitness my team and I have coached pregnant and post-partum women for over 10 years and we are mums ourselves, we want to make sure you don't overlook some of the important things that doctors often just touch on very briefly without giving you the full understanding of what needs to be done before lifting heavy weights. You can do more damage than good if you don't prepare your body for those dumbbells and barbells.

I think we all do it from time to time. I'm definitely guilty of the 1st one, being a mum. Just this morning I finished of my daughter's Hot Cross Bun after eating my own perfectly balanced breakfast, but it's OK I burnt it off at the gym πŸ˜…πŸ€·β€β™€οΈβœ–οΈ

Holiday season is well and truly upon us and many who have been trying very hard to lose weight are still very worried that all their hard work is about to get undone, only to have to start over in January.

For a lot of my clients who have just began on their health and fat loss journey recently, the worst part is, they are still not even at their goal weight or body shape they want to be, but they are afraid that Christmas time will send them backwards even further. I understand the frustration, so I want to share some tips with you to help you stay on your game during this season.

Are you struggling to up the weight, but really want to see more progress in your physique?

There are other ways than just trying to lift heavy weights.

1. Introduce new more challenging exercises, perhaps you're ready for a new training program

2. Increase reps to add more volume especially those particular areas you want to sculpt more

3. Dropsets and supersets are one of my favourite ways to challenge myself, ooohh that burn at the end of the tricep extensions or hip thrusts 😡
