Inspire by FM

Come, join and enjoy!

We question how we move and what moves us. We look for grace and strength through the lens of rhythm and coordination. We aim to expand our potential identifying and respecting our biological signature.

A seed was once planted.
It first looked for connections,
within itself to better understand its form,
with the ground and the sky to better understand its place in space.

It started to grow, roots and trunk expanded.
The roots developed downwards creating a dynamic network with the ground.
The trunk went upwards reaching for the sky in an active dialogue with gravity.
It looks to me like it was an attempt to create a space for better communication between the above and below, allowing what is "in-between" to express and explore.

Branches grew too.
Indeed everything developed from that seed at once.
Like a musical harmony, nothing was isolated nor uniform. It was a unity allowed to wander in the realm of creativity.

It all was available, ready to listen and share as it felt appropriate to do.
It all engaged into the process of growing, developing and expanding like a network able to change yet not get lost.
It all enjoyed living, embracing the uncertainty and irregularity that life presents.

Then one day, this seeed, which now was a young tree, looked around and started to notice so many other trees. They were all trees like him, still none of them was like the other. They were unique like everyone else.
Like you,
like me.

LOOK OUT
I enjoy a nice clean and clear view over a landscape, a panorama that makes me taste the infinite beyond the border of the horizon.

This time we decided to also look down.

Cigarette butts reminded me of my hometown.
Take-away containers made me think of how easily we can go from fast food to fast littering.
Beer bottles had me reflecting one more time of how we may seek a distorted reality because we find the sober experience unbearably challenging.
V**e Pens seem to be evidence of how smokers’ habits remain despite the avoidance of ni****ne.
Masks looked like the newest trend on the ground.

The place is far from “clean” but it is 3 bags cleaner.

We were not alone, people saw us. A group of 3 girls even congratulated with us for what we were doing. "Less-trace" has been left, and hopefully, it is just the beginning.

TO BE CONTINUED
May cleaning the outer landscapes remind us to look after our inner landscapes too.

Play.

We wandered tipping into developmental stages, looking for what may be left within us. Can we still play child-like, beyond purpose?

The modern science seems to confirm the crucial role of play in mammals, it is about survival. The drive for playing seems to be in the brain stems, the most ancient brain we have. The story goes that if we take out all the other brain structures, once recovered, the mice are still up for a play!

We play to remember that every moment is a new moment, we play to communicate with and without sounds, we play to retrieve curvilinear movement and dance alike motion, we play to unify and welcome diversity.

Play benefits you as an individual, you as a group/community/business.
Creativity, curiosity, empathy, self-regulation, optimism, cooperation, problem solving,..

How does your play look like today, in your context?

As I look for continuum, I am not following the rush I can feel burning under my skin.
No, I am not talking about the incredible power of the Australian sun!

As I look for continuum, I am not stopping and starting over and over. I rather wish to find ways to smoothen the transitions from place to place.
Yes, I aim to blend into the motion also the "very beginning" and "very end" almost like I never enter or exit the stage. It may change form, but the performance does not end.

As I look for continuum, I am not avoiding to reach further or challenging my home. I try to expand and come back like a pulsating heart or a pair of lungs, which streatch and recoil attempting to share with the whole clean energy to sustain and enhance the continuum of my development.

As I look for continuum, I let go "ends" and welcome "ands".

When it comes to the human body, the current most dominant approach is prescriptive protocols. Someone else tells us what is best for us through precise instructions and if we don’t follow precisely, we are told to be wrong. This applies to athletic performance as well as healing practices.

We are living organisms, dynamic complex systems. We are not machines which work by instructions and linear causality.

Why do we seek instructions and repetitiveness in physical practices?

Embracing more, seeing more "and-s" than "end-s", we "walked" on our own time cloud using a compass made of our pasts and foreseeable futures. Our "present" was weaved into those questions:

How do we carry what we have (past) to face what is next (future)?
What stories do we tell ourselves?

We also practiced to test our executive functions (i.e. inhibitory control, working memory and cognitive flexibility), dear to us as developing and ageing creatures.

Choice over automation, what do we select to see, say,..?
Connecting information, what do we retain and retrieve to solve a problem?
Adjusting to change, how else can we..?

Different cultures seem to have a different hierarchy when it comes to human senses, these apply to all the senses but sight. We practically experienced how different we see and tried to better understand the visible space and the potential of emptiness when it comes to connect with others.

How do we represent what we see?
What do we share about what we see?
How far and how close are we?

We also had the pleasure of having Fleur, worldwide acclaimed artist who came to share her direct experience in the world of art and creativity. Questions and insights that came out during the conversations were alike "can creativity being improved?", "he/she is a genius vs he/she has a genius", "how does time effect the creative process?", "finding the way to bring together everything you love", "to create a single show/performance that lasts 5-7 years, you may need 5-7 years to rest-think-realise",..

I am extremely grateful for everyone who took part and made this event possible.
Thank you all.
