Sunday was a day of excitement as we reluctantly bit the bullet to leave our 2 week old Rottie pups and attend the Welsh Pony and Cob Society young stock show in Goulburn with Surrey Springs Sahara
We started the day with the 1-3yr old sweepstake. The ring had 16 entries and despite not placing, Sahara took it all in his stride and was so well behaved for a baby stallion surrounded in so many horses in the ring. We caught the judges attention for sure but we were even all congratulated as the ring pool of babies to be judged was insane. We had a mini through to a Percheron. So super hard class to judge. Placing seemed to go to riding pony styles and one gorgeous welsh filly. Who were all well deserving of a place.
Next we had the heavy horse class where we won our Gypsy Cob class being the only entrant for the show which was disappointing but so glad we went to help encourage the class for next year. π₯
We were then in for surprise against a gorgeous Southern Cross Percheron c**t, just shy of 19hh. So super impressive all done up in mane grade, tail braid and flights. To our surprise we actually won the supreme Heavy Horse young stock. π₯³ππ₯³ππ₯³. Was such a great win as we didnβt expect it as well as waiting a few hrs for the class post the huge Sweepstake class which took forever to get through the entrants.
End of day we had to wait for our APSB class to which we won π₯and took out champion also π
After 5hrs of standing around it was time to pack up and head back to our two week old Minka Pups.
Thank you to al sponsors and committee for running an amazing event, especially made mention of Miss Lori who couldnt make things better before and on the day for everyone. She went over and beyond to help me on the day to ensure I was ready and entering all correct classes. A credit to you for a fun day had by all and I am sure you had many helpers making things smooth for you who also need a huge thank you, So thank you to all
Thank you also Elegant Exposures for capturing some amazing memories on the day for all.
