The Woodville Lacrosse Club is a member of the Lacrosse SA association of clubs, and is located in the north western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. In this time, the Warriors have been known as both the Woodville Lacrosse Club (1899-1902, 1967- ) and the Port Adelaide District Lacrosse Club (1903-1966).

It has been a massive few days. Our Senior Women unfortunately suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss to Western Australia in their semi final after coming back from several goals down in a thrilling match. Our Warriors were well represented, with five members in the team - ๐—›๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐˜† ๐——๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ, ๐—œ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ป, ๐—ข๐—น๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฎ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, ๐—๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜๐˜€ and ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ ๐—ช๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ป. Congratulations to Izzy who was awarded MVP in SA's match against Suburbs United from NZ in the third place final, and congratulations to Liv who was awarded MVP in SA's semi final against WA, as well as being selected to the Tournament All-Star team!!

And congratulations to our men's representative ๐—ญ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ ๐—–๐—น๐—ผ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ who was a member of the men's team that went through the tournament undefeated and reclaimed the National Championship for South Australia!

Well done to ๐—ฆ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐—”๐—ฏ๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜๐˜ and ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฟ๐˜†๐—ป ๐—”๐˜‚๐—ณ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ who were part of the tournament's match officials team and performed with aplomb!

Finally, to the wider Woodville Lacrosse Club community, a huge thank you to everyone who stepped up to help with the moving of the last two days of the championships to our grounds with very short notice. We were able to mobilise the troops to ensure a smooth transition and stage a successful conclusion to the event. A big thanks to Michael Hogan who spent Friday getting our fields marked and ready, as well as removing our stock from the fridges to enable Sturt Lacrosse Club to use our kitchen and bar and continue to operate the event, and to the Warrior players and parents who set up the three fields at 6.30am and packed up at 5.00pm on both Saturday and Sunday. You should all be proud for how we rallied around each other and the Australian lacrosse community in these extraordinary circumstances!

Congratulations Amy โ€œButtsyโ€ Butterfield #27 for her 100th State League game.

A fierce competitor in defence, Buttsy is known for shutting down attackers and quickly transitioning the ball, making her a key part of the team throughout her career.

Adam is a powerhouse in our combined Under 15s team, while also stepping up to Under 18sโ€”showing so much talent. ๐Ÿ™Œ He first picked up the stick with Woodville in 2023 playin in our Under 13 boys team. ๐Ÿ’ฅ
