The Little Library was made by the community for the community. Grant Place Reserve & The Flinders Park Tennis Club is the heart of the community for many! We built the Library to save the park and lovely club that fosters community. Since starting this page the council has upgraded the park in Grant Place Reserve (win!) and we did the community arts project to build a Little Library exchange for

This page has been created by residents who live near by, love and utilise the space, and enjoy having the club as their neighbours. FIRST POST: Found out through the Messenger that the council is considering getting rid of our beloved tennis club and moving it into a big hub with other clubs that are struggling. Problem is our club is thriving.. and happy!! and it would be a terrible loss! Anyone who comes to the club or park knows that the reason people play here is due to it's wonderful sense of community. Also a lot of kids who come here would show no interest in tennis if it weren't for Julia, her girls and the other fabulous coaches who keep the kids excited and engaged. We don't want to loose this treasure. And as for the playground, the neighbourhood would be lost with out it. The possibility of a block of flats taking over green space doesnt work for me. No tennis club means developers moving in, loss of community and a much less happy area - so please support our efforts to keep the club right where it is.
