To every single woman who toed the start line today at the Gold Coast Women Only Adventure Race - this post is for you.

You showed up in this howling wind. You pushed through. You dug deep when it got hard, kept moving when your legs said stop, and crossed that finish line on YOUR terms.

Today, we once again discovered what it really means to have an amazing woman in your corner, especially at the moment when one team fell in, and everyone held their boat and helped climb back up.

Some of you surprised yourselves. Some of you cried - and that's okay, because those tears mean something real happened out there today.

Adventure racing has a way of stripping everything back and showing you exactly who you are. And today, every single one of you showed up as someone strong, brave, and absolutely unstoppable.

To the teams who podiumed - incredible. To the teams who battled every checkpoint - just as incredible. To anyone who thought "I can't do this" and did it anyway - you are the reason we do what we do.

This is what Women Only Adventure Race is all about. Not just racing - but women building each other up, pushing each other forward, and walking away knowing they are more capable than they ever believed.

Kayaking, MTB, trekking, A LOT of NAVIGATION— bring it on. 🌊🚵‍♀️🥾

There are always some amazing people behind the scenes in the events like recent Baw Baw Baw Baw Extreme. You don’t see them often but events just would not be able to happen without them.

One of these people is Timofey Ivs.

Last weekend he spent incredible amount of hours driving, packing, unpacking, setting up, sweeping the course in the middle of the night and doing a lot of other things for the race to happen.
And he’s got a birthday today!
Happy Birthday, Tim! From all of us- Adventure Cup community! We hope you had a great day doing things you love!

Do not forget to give a big round of applause to your support crew for this weekend and to Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort and Ride Mt Baw Baw who were also doing this tough job getting up super early and going to bed extremely late to allow you to have all fun out there on the course.
