🔵⚪️ CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026 JUNIOR LIFE MEMBERS 🔵⚪️

We are proud to congratulate Chris Joy and Rob Cutter, who were awarded Junior Life Membership at our recent Presentation Day.

Junior Life Membership is one of the highest honours our club can award and recognises the outstanding contribution, commitment and service both Chris and Rob have given to our junior football community over many years.

Chris has made an enormous contribution to the Eagles, including coaching within our junior girls program since 2018 and serving as Club President since 2024. His passion for our players, families and the continued growth of our club has been greatly appreciated.

Rob has also given so much of his time and energy to the Eagles, as a coach for many years, as well as Club President. He has helped play a massive role in helping make our club the strong, welcoming and community-focused club it is today.

Life Membership is about more than the roles you hold - it recognises the countless hours behind the scenes, the willingness to always help and the lasting impact you make on the people around you.

Congratulations Chris Joy and Rob Cutter - two thoroughly deserving recipients of 2026 Junior Life Membership.

Looking to get faster, stronger and more explosive ahead of the 2027 footy season?

Our friends at Rise Health are running an 8-week AFL Pre-Season Athlete Development Program designed for junior footballers wanting to take their athletic performance to the next level.

🏃 Speed & Acceleration
💥 Jump & Power
⚡ Agility & Change of Direction
💪 Strength & Conditioning

Players will also complete performance testing in Week 1 and Week 8, including 20m sprint, AFL agility and vertical jump testing, providing a great way to measure their development across the program.

📅 Starts: Monday 12 October
⏰ Time: 6:00pm–7:30pm
📍 Location: Rise Health Group – Rowville Sports Academy
⏳ Duration: 8 weeks

The program will be led by qualified Exercise Physiologist Lachlan Stapleton, who brings extensive football experience alongside his professional expertise.

🔵⚪️ 2026 CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR - RENEE MATCHETT 🔵⚪️

A huge congratulations to Renee Matchett, our 2026 Club Person of the Year! 🏆

Renee has made an outstanding contribution to our club throughout the season, acting as Team Manager for our U11 White Boys team, as well as the tireless amount of work she puts in as our Uniform Shop Co-Ordinator.

Her commitment, generosity and passion for the Eagles community have made a genuine difference, and this award is thoroughly deserved.

People like Renee are what make community football clubs such special places, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed throughout 2026.

🔵⚪️ 2026 COACHES OF THE YEAR 🔵⚪️

On Saturday, we sent off 2026 in style with our Junior Presentation Day.

In the first of our season awards, we are delighted to share our Coaches of the Year for 2026.

A huge congratulations to our 2026 Coaches of the Year:

🏆 Ash Hilder – Under 14 Girls
🏆 Jarrod Dwyer – Under 16 Boys

Both Ash and Jarrod have made an outstanding contribution to their teams and our club throughout the season.

Jarrod successfully led our U16 Boys to the perfect season, remaining undefeated all year, culminating in a premiership win. He was also hugely important in supporting our U14 Girls team all year.

Ash also had an amazing impact on our U4 Girls team, leading them into a finals series, and playing a great brand of footy after a challenging start to the season.

Their commitment to developing our players, creating positive team environments and representing the values of the Ferntree Gully Eagles has been fantastic to see.

Coaching junior football takes an enormous amount of time, energy and dedication, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything Ash and Jarrod have given to their players and families throughout 2026.

A thoroughly deserved recognition for two outstanding coaches.

🔵⚪️🏆 HERALD-SUN SHIELD CHAMPIONS! 🔵⚪️🏆

A huge congratulations to Amber, Amelie, Jazzy, Belle and Sophie from our U16 Girls team, who today helped Emmaus College claim the Intermediate Division 2 Herald Sun Shield! 🏆

An outstanding achievement and a fantastic reward for all the hard work these girls continue to put into their footy.

A special mention also to Belle who was judged Best on Ground!

We’re incredibly proud to see our Eagles representing their school and performing on the big stage.

Our biggest day of the year is almost here!

Join us this Saturday at Pickett's Reserve as we come together to celebrate another fantastic season and farewell Season 2026 in style.

There’ll be plenty happening throughout the afternoon and evening, including:

🎆 Fireworks spectacular at 8:45pm
🎸 Live music from Takin' Cover at 9pm

It’s always one of the highlights of our club calendar and a great opportunity for players, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters to celebrate the season together.
