Ferntree Gully Eagles Football and Netball Club - Junior Division

Ferntree Gully Eagles Football and Netball Club - Junior Division The club was founded in 1972 as the Knox Opportunity Youth Club, which played in the Knox Junior Football Association (KJFA).

At the end of the 1976 season the club changed its name to the Knox Eagles and continued to play in the KJFA. The KJFA merged with the Eastern Football League in 1998 and the Eagles have participated in the EFL from then to the current day. In the 2006 season the Knox Eagles merged with Ferntree Gully to form the Ferntree Gully Eagles. The club fields teams from Under 9s through to Under 17s as well as All abilities teams and 2 Auskick Clinics.

Our Round 9 fixture has dropped and there's big games everywhere we look!

Our U16 boys are locked in for their first twilight game of the season at Pickett's Reserve. The action kicks off at 4.15pm, so make sure you get down to awards night early to support the team!

We also have Chicken Rolls with gravy on the menu for dinner tomorrow night

After a week off, we have another big Sunday of footy coming up tomorrow!

Last weekend, our players and officials proudly wore black armbands in honour of Neale Daniher AO.

Neale’s courage, resilience and tireless work in the fight against MND has inspired the football community and people right across Australia.

As a club, we pay our respects to Neale, his family, and everyone impacted by MND. His legacy will continue to live on through the incredible awareness and fundraising he helped create.

🔵⚪️ Introducing our Players of the Round for Round 6! 🔵⚪️

Our Round 6 Players of the Round are Harry and Oscar from our U8 Mixed team.

Harry has had a fantastic season so far and continues to impress every week with his effort, enthusiasm and team-first attitude. He is a versatile player who can play a number of different roles around the ground, but he really shines when he is playing through the middle.

A big congratulations also goes to Oscar, our other U8 Player of the Round.

Oscar is having a brilliant season and continues to develop every week. He loves getting involved around the ball, works hard for his teammates and always puts in a great effort. His improvement from the first game of the season to now has been outstanding, with his skills, confidence and understanding of the game growing each week.

One of Oscar’s season highlights was being awarded the ANZAC Day Medal, a very special achievement that reflects his hard work, determination and positive attitude. He consistently gives his best, listens to his coaches and continues to improve every time he takes the field.

Well done, Harry and Oscar!
