"🎸 Rocking to KISS in Sydney! 🤘🎶

This weekend in Sydney filled my cup in so many ways, and it's not just because I got to rock out at this amazing concert to a band that I've loved my entire life and seen live multiple times! 🌆💃 Music fills my soul, the harder the music the better, I love it when you feel it pump right through your body.

Over the weekend, I logged over 20,000 steps exploring the city, which reminds me of the importance of staying active even while on a fun getaway.
Not only did I rock out to the music, but I also had the chance to visit somewhere new, which is always refreshing for the soul. 🗺️

Being a sports lover, stepping into Accor Stadium was a thrill – it's one thing to watch games on TV, but witnessing the action live is a whole new level of excitement! ⚽🏉

And of course, spending quality time with my great friend Chars, always brings countless laughs and good vibes. 😄👭 We even took a trip to Taronga Zoo, exploring and walking around the Opera House, immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature and culture. Sorry Sydney, Melbourne is better in most ways, expect public transport, Sydney was great to get around.

In my fitness coaching, I emphasise that health and happiness are not just about strict routines but also about creating a life worth living. So, whether you're dancing at a concert, making new friends in a strange city, exploring a zoo, or taking in the iconic sights of a city, remember that every step counts in your fitness journey. 🤟💪

Like most mums out there Kez had stopped prioritising herself.

Being put on medication and asked to lose weight by the doctor was the wake-up call Kez needed!

She came to us with a focus on 3 things:

•Losing more weight after she had already lost some herself

I was so over being fat and unhealthy

I’m a bigger girl, so when I’m fat it doesn’t look too bad

I can hold it well

And I was a lot heavier then you would think by looking at me

But inside I hated it

I always feel better when I’m in shape

My brain works better

I’m more confident

I’m happier

The people around me are happier too

Everything starts from me being in shape

It wasn’t always easy though

You guys know that I battled binging, mostly stress/emotional eating and not knowing where to start

It’s crazy hard to get fit when you have no idea what to do

I used to read magazines, articles and every piece of information I could

It was so confusing

One person would say ‘have weight loss shakes’

Then the next person says ‘only eat after 3 pm

Then someone says ‘carbs are bad’

And another says ‘no, carbs are good’

So WTF is it? Should I have shakes or not? Should I eat carbs or not?

It did my head in (and this was after I tried them all)

Nothing worked for me until I uncovered the really sensible, common sense method

If your struggling to lose that stubborn weight listen to a few of our clients journeys.

I was talking to a few members today who have seen some amazing results. They've all lost 10kgs or more, have gotten stronger, and are more confident in their own skin.

I asked them what they did that was different, and there were a few things in common.

•They all started moving more and were consistent with their training.
•They drank more water
•Changed their mindset around eating, allowed themselves some 'bad' food without punishing themselves,
•Better sleep quality
•Followed our coaching and nutrition guidelines

One of the biggest sadness of my job is when people give up and retreat back to old ways. I've seen where that path leads in and it scares the s**t out of me and sometimes I have to just let it go and turn a blind eye because ultimately it's on the person to follow the path laid out for them.

Recipe of the Week: MEXICAN GRILLED CORN

This is a tasty (& healthier!) version of corn on the cob than traditional corn and butter.

It’s sweet, salty, spicy, and just plain delicious.

Mexican Grilled Corn
(1 serving = 1 ear)

Corn (still on the cob)
Olive oil
Fresh lime juice
Ground sea salt
Cayenne pepper

Preheat your grill to medium. Remove the husk and silk from the corn, and brush each ear with olive oil.

Place the corn on the grill and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, turning the corn every few minutes to ensure even cooking.

Sprinkle with lime juice, sea salt, and cayenne pepper to taste and enjoy!
