🏐 NETBALL LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT 🏐

Following the opening rounds of the season, our netball teams have selected their captains and vice-captains for 2026.

These players have earned the respect of their teammates through the leadership, commitment, encouragement and positive example they have shown both on and off the court. It’s fantastic to see so many girls putting their hand up to support their teammates and help drive a positive culture across our netball program.

The annual awards celebrate the volunteers, athletes, clubs and community champions who create opportunities for people of all ages to participate, connect and belong through sport and leisure.

While the award ultimately went to a worthy winner, being nominated is a fantastic recognition of the countless hours, passion and leadership Georgia and Hayley continue to give to our club and community. Their dedication helps make the Gully a welcoming place where everyone feels they belong.

With our men’s sides enjoying the bye this weekend, all eyes turn to our women as they head to Vermont Recreation Reserve for a huge Saturday night clash under lights. 🌙🏉

The Gully got the chocolates by just 3 points when these sides met earlier in the season, and you can be sure Vermont will be looking for revenge. With plenty on the line, a win could see our girls break into the Top 4 and take a massive step towards finals.

This one has everything – rivalry, ladder implications, and plenty of bragging rights. Let’s get down, get loud, and get behind our girls this Saturday night! 💙🤍

📣 Congratulations to FTGCC’s Lee Thompson for winning the 2026 “Adult Club Person of the Year award” at the Knox Sport & Leisure awards tonight.
These annual awards recognize & reward the hard-working volunteers within Knox’s local sporting and leisure clubs.

Lee has gone above & beyond for our club over the years, but even more so over this past year - he totally deserves this award & we all appreciate everything that he has done for the FTGCC.
