We're still seeing people ask about their first payment date being pushed back and we want to help you understand what you need to do.
To get your first JobSeeker Payment you need to report your income, even if your income is zero. The letter we send you after we finalise your claim will let you know when your payment will start. This information will also appear in your Centrelink online account.
From then, you’ll also need to report your income each fortnight. To make it easy for you to report, a task will appear in your app or online account that allows to you report your income or let us know you didn’t have any earnings.
If you’ve recently submitted your claim but haven’t heard from us yet, don’t worry. We’ll let you know if we need more information and send you a letter once we finalise your claim.
