A VERY DESERVING LIFE MEMBER! ๐Ÿ†

A life membership is the highest honour a Football Club can bestow upon a member. To be considered for life membership you need to perform a major club role for no less than 7 years straight. On Friday night we were proud to be able to present Mel Clements with a life membership to SMJFC.

As a Southโ€™s Mum, Mel has given countless hours to our club and has been involved in so many different areas โ€” team manager, assistant coach, committee member, running our merchandise, helping with fundraising and events, and simply always being the person who is happy to lend a hand.
Mel played a huge part in transforming our club merchandise into what it is today, creating a range that has become such a big part of our club identity. From polos and jackets to hoodies, beanies and plenty more, โ€œMelโ€™s Merchโ€ became a much-loved part of South Mandurah.

But itโ€™s not just what Mel has done โ€” itโ€™s the way she has always done it. She has been there for our players, coaches, families and our club community, always willing to help, support and get stuck in wherever needed.

Congratulations Mel on Life Membership, but most importantly, thank you for being a part of the fabric of our great club and for everything you have contributed over the years! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ†

Take 5!
Our year 11/12 girls and 11/12 Blue boys enjoyed a night out at the Country club last night for their presentation evening. It was a fabulous night to celebrate the end of the 2026 season, and for many of our players the end of their journey in South Mandurah Junior Football club. South Mandurah FNC will be lucky to have you all!

Congratulations to SMJFC Triple premiership coach Daniel Bandy on his appointment as Peel Thunder CEO.

Daniel Bandy steps into CEO role at Peel Thunder.

Daniel Bandy will step into the role of Chief Executive Officer at Peel Thunder Football Club, following an extremely busy and successful period for the Club. Over recent months, Daniel has helped lead the organisation through a significant period of activity and change, including the successful Gala Auction and Major Raffle, a comprehensive staff restructure, the reshaping of the Club's Women's Program and an exciting WAFL season which has seen Peel Thunder reach the WAFL Grand Final. His leadership during this period has provided stability, energy and a clear focus on maintaining high standards across the Club, both on and off the field.

With the Club continuing to build momentum across its football, commercial and community programs, Daniel's appointment provides an opportunity to build on the strong foundations already in place. The focus will be on continuing to strengthen the Club's culture, commercial position and community connection, while supporting the football department to achieve sustained success across the WAFL and WAFLW programs.

Peel Thunder President Brad Dean said Daniel had demonstrated the leadership, commitment and capability required to take the Club forward.
"Daniel has stepped up at an incredibly important time for Peel Thunder and has shown great leadership through what has been a very busy and demanding period for the Club. From our major fundraising and commercial initiatives through to the restructure of our staff and Women's Program, and of course our WAFL team reaching the Grand Final, Daniel has embraced the challenge and continued to drive the Club forward. The Board has great confidence in Daniel and we look forward to seeing him lead Peel Thunder into its next chapter."
