πŸ“£ SHOOSH FOR KIDS πŸ“£

At IDNA, we're proud to support Shoosh for Kids β€” a collaborative initiative between the Office of Sport and sporting organisations across NSW that encourages positive spectator behaviour at junior sport.

Our players are already listening to whistles, umpire calls, coach instructions and teammates. The best thing we can do from the sideline is provide encouragement and support.

❀️ Keep it positive.
🏐 Keep it fun.
πŸ™Œ Keep kids coming back to junior sport.

The message is simple: If you don't have anything nice to say, Shoosh for Kids.

Let's work together to create a positive environment where every child can learn, grow and enjoy the game we all love.

🐢 A Quick Reminder About Dogs at the Courts 🐢

During competition hours (Saturday 7:00am–5:00pm), our courts are for netball only. Service dogs are always welcome, however we ask that pets are left at home where possible.

We understand that sometimes circumstances don't allow this. If you do need to bring your dog, please keep them in the grassed areas and away from the court surfaces and playing spaces.

And one final reminder... please clean up after your dog. πŸ’©

It's a messy job, but NOT one our volunteers signed up for! Your dog, your mess, your responsibility. Let's all do our part to keep our courts clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone. ❀️🀍🏐

She has been rewarded for all her hard work shown in her umpiring journey.

🀫REMINDER: Game day can be loud for our players. On court they are already listening to:

πŸ‘Ÿ The whistle
πŸ—£ Umpire calls
πŸ“£ Coach directions
πŸ™Œ Team communication
πŸ’ Their own internal thoughts and decision making

Extra sideline noise can quickly become distracting and overwhelming, particularly for our younger athletes trying to focus and learn the game.

A gentle reminder that coaches and umpires are the key voices players should be hearing during play. The best thing supporters can do is encourage positively, cheer politely and let players enjoy the game in a supportive environment ❀🏐
