The Rock lobsters gun got an invite to play with LMS Nationals title holders the Western Swingers and had made the most of his opportunities so far with two man of the match awards in the opening two matches. Congratulations to our young gun Nick Nicastri for bringing up his first LMS century yesterday in a do or die clash for JVFCC yesterday. Nick has dominated bowling attacks since joining the squad and was only a matter of time before he would ton up. Opening the bat he scored a very quick 50 but soon came back to the crease after a batting collapse. This brought him to the crease batting with his father Michael. Nick needed 18 of the last over to bring up his ton and by hitting the jackpot ball for 6 ending up on 106 not out off just 30 balls 💪💪💪💪💪
Great effort and achievement Nick and a very proud father son moment with Michael watching on from the non strikers end 💪💪💪

Congratulations to these two Lobsters stalwarts who this week both brought up their 300th LMS wicket (unfortunately not in the same game). CHEESY brought his up in his midweek clash against 8 guys 1 stump and Penguin brought his up in sunday's clash against the Ringer's. Both have achieved this Great milestone and reward for rolling the arm over for over a decade playing the game!

Congratulations to AVRO's Army for taking out the illawarra winter LMS tournament for 2024. Was a very hard day in the office for the lads Knocking over the Gong Tuskers in the semi final by just 16 runs with the Army defending a sub par score. Then the GF against the Power Panthers who were last year's winter comp winners in a totally opposite type of game with the Panthers batting first and were heading for 200 plus for most of the innings before some good late bowling brought them back to 189. AVRO's Army maintained the required run rate right through the innings and chased down the target with 8 balls remaining.
Great result lads in arguably the strongest and closest illawarra tournament ever.
