We’re a little late celebrating our member of the month for August, partly because of when this awesome lot trains - but it’s definitely worth the wait! 🥳
Introducing Luke Brown, and the Brown Bears! A rock star band name if ever I heard one. 🤘
Luke joined See Change with his friend and training buddy Laurence in 2020, as a way to bounce out of lockdown and into shape. The duo become founding members of the Monday and Friday morning group affectionately known as Brown Bears, alongside Nick and Simon - the original bootcampers since 2011! 👏👏
Training with Maree on Mondays, and Jess on Fridays, Luke tells us there’s almost nothing that can make him miss a session. Rain, hail, freezing temps and black Melbourne mornings 🌡❄️ - they all fade into the background when he’s working hard with his mates. His wife Lisa even joined in the last year, to make it a family affair.
The 7am coffee ☕ after the 6am session on Fridays is an extra motivation - not to mention the ‘challenge’ of making Jess giggle 🤣 with every huff, puff, groan and grimace.
Luke is a very active guy! He loves playing cricket 🏏 and kicking the footy, as well as skiing ⛷ and hiking. To show up the young guys, minimise injury risks and perform his best, his See Change sessions help keep him strong, limber, and physically and mentally fit.
Getting out to visit Luke and the Brown Bears was a real pleasure - even though it was in the pitch black of a Melbourne winter morning. 🌚 I’ll be back to snap a few action pics before the end of the month, cold weather or no!
Whether you love a chilly outdoor start, or a more temperate approach to fitness, See Change is a place where you can set and achieve your own goals, ✅ with a bunch of supportive friends and (sometimes giggly) trainers to cheer you on. 📣
If this sounds like your kind of place, and the Bootcamping Brown Bears your kind of people, check us out at seechangept.com, visit us at 432 Heidelberg Rd Fairfield, or give Maree a call on 0417 768 721.
We’re ‘Luke-ing’ forward to hearing from you! Yes I went there, and I have no regrets. 😆
