💙💚 CABRAVALE FAIRFIELD ATHLETICS – SATURDAY COMPETITION 💚💙

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL FAMILIES

Our Saturday competition is a family activity and relies on our amazing parents, guardians and volunteers to help everything run safely and smoothly.

⏰ COMPETITION STARTS AT 9:00AM
Please arrive early and have athletes ready to go.

📍 BEFORE COMPETITION
• Please keep athletes off the field until their age group is called.
• Athletes will line up behind their age-group marker.
• Team Managers and Parent Helpers must sign on.

👶 TINY TOTS
Tiny Tots require 1 signed-on Team Manager.
A parent or guardian MUST remain on the field with their Tiny Tot at all times.

👟 6’s – UNDER 20’s
Each age group requires:
💙 1 Team Manager
💚 3 Parent Helpers
⚠️ An age group cannot commence until the required helpers are signed on.

🛡️ FIELD SAFETY
Only the 4 signed-on volunteers for each age group may accompany athletes around the field.

All other parents and guardians must remain outside the fence area.

👨‍👩‍👧 A parent or guardian must remain at Makepeace Oval at all times.

🙌 WE NEED YOUR HELP!
No athletics experience is needed. There are plenty of easy ways to assist:
⏱️ Recording results
📏 Measuring jumps and throws
🏃 Organising athletes
📝 Assisting at events
🛡️ Helping keep our athletes safe

Cabravale Fairfield Athletics is 100% volunteer-run. Please be patient, respectful and supportive of the people giving their time each Saturday.

🚨💙💚 IMPORTANT NOTICE – WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECKS (WWCC) 💚💙🚨

Under the new NSW Athletics Working With Children Check (WWCC) requirements, anyone entering the FIELD to assist with our Saturday morning competitions or training sessions must hold a current Working With Children Check.

This includes:

💙 Age Managers
💚 Parent Helpers / Assistants
🤍 Coaches & Coaching Assistants
💙 Canteen Helpers
💚 Committee Members

⭐ We encourage ALL parents and guardians to obtain a Working With Children Check.

📌 TINY TOTS PARENTS
Tiny Tots parents are excluded unless they are volunteering in another role that requires a WWCC.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – A WWCC NUMBER ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH

Your WWCC details must be provided to Cabravale Fairfield Athletics so they can be verified with the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) before you can assist.

Cabravale Fairfield Athletics is run by volunteers, and our Saturday morning Competition’s and Training Session’s simply cannot operate without our amazing parents and families helping with events, age groups and the canteen.

However, we must comply with these requirements:

📊 Results are recorded for athletes in the 6’s through to Under 20’s age groups.

4️⃣ HAVE MULTIPLE CHILDREN REGISTERED?
Your athletes should appear under one family login, making it easy to view everyone’s results in the same place.

📊 VIEWING YOUR RESULTS

Once the weekly results have been entered and finalised, you’ll be able to view your athlete’s performances, including:

• Event results
• Times and distances
• Personal Bests (PBs)
• Progress throughout the season

💙💚 DO I REALLY NEED TO HELP AT MY KIDS’ ATHLETICS? 💚💙

YES — and here’s why! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Cabravale Fairfield Athletics is a 100% volunteer-run club. From our Committee and Age Managers to those setting up equipment, timing events, measuring jumps and throws, helping in the canteen and packing everything away — not one person is paid.

Our Saturday mornings simply wouldn’t be possible without our amazing parents, guardians and families lending a hand. 💙💚

🙌 YOU DON’T NEED ATHLETICS EXPERIENCE TO HELP!
Even a small amount of help makes a BIG difference.

We encourage ALL parents and guardians to submit their Working With Children Check details through our registration system.
