A crucial mistake you might be making when it comes to your squat is your hips rising too fast. Yet is a big problem when it comes to lower back stress and pain.

So ideally, when you rise out of the bottom of the squat, your chest and hips should rise up at approximately the same rate. Which enables the weight to travel straight up and down as you squat

If you struggle with this, then it's likely you need to strengthen your quadricep muscles.
