We are BACK baby!💃💪

With classes returning Monday October 21st, I thought I’d reintroduce myself with a quick little ‘about me’ refresher! 😅😜

Fitness is something I have ALWAYS been passionate about. Early days I played premier league soccer and competed in many cross country events (loved soccer and loved to run) late teenage years and early 20’s I got into the gym. After having x2 knee recos I found a new passion, weight training. (PROPERLY😅)

I left Real Estate after 6 years, in early 2018 and commenced my Cert IV in Fitness, worked part time and I also fell pregnant with my first child at this time. I started up my personal training business from home (whilst pregnant😮‍💨) and LOVED it. ❤️

The vibes and buzz from helping people realise and fulfill their potential, exceed what they thought possible is SO EXCITING. 🏋️‍♀️
2020, covid, I participated in an ICN bodybuilding comp and commenced online coaching, along with an online ‘challenge’ due to COVID and the inability to train people F2F. This is where I furthered my coaching skills and whilst I do enjoy and I DO offer online coaching, I still find F2F is my no. 1 jam.

Skip forward, a 2 year break, with two more babies to add to my family, I am READY and ITCHING to return to providing my coaching and personal training knowledge and experience to others.
I specialise in strength training and will work with you in achieving your health 🍏 and fitness goals through a training program SPECIFIC!!! to your abilities, experience and most of all specific to what you ENJOY!😉 as I believe a style of training that you enjoy is number ONE to sticking to a fitness regimen. 🤗

Reach out if you are interested in any of my services! ANY questions are warmly welcomed ☺️

LET’S GET IT! 💪🤜🤛

Been quiet lately coz’ we been busy workin’ 💪

At times I have so much to say that I don’t know how exactly to say it. How to articulate it in a post.

At times I struggle for a topic I feel passionate writing about lately...

BUT, what I’m passionate about is training my small team of hard workers. I love helping them feel great, let off some steam, see their energy change after a training session...

I love helping, coaching and encouraging others to find enjoyment from moving their bodies, gaining strength and pushing themselves! 🙏

Currently working in a great balance of work and mum life training these machines x3 nights a week! 👊

Exercise is therapy 💯

I’m not here to be an expert at everything to do with fitness...

But!

One thing I am so passionate about is knowing how incredibly helpful exercise and training is when struggling with mental health issues.

I love watching people transform and change not just physically but mentally. Exercise changes everything...

Leaving a training session feeling accomplished, incredibly powerful and strong. Ready to deal with whatever else life is throwing at you.

As a coach/PT I love watching people’s moods change as they smash a sesh.

I love encouraging people to train because it feels good first, the bonus of a fit looking body comes secondary and in time.

Here’s my tips for getting into a good training routine:

1- don’t think DO. Just start and don’t over think it.
2- do what you enjoy! But also learn that sometimes the difficult exercises and or training sessions often tend to be the most beneficial!
3- which leads me to, learn to LOVE the struggle. Learn to love being uncomfortable and watch not only your body but your mind and thinking patterns change also.
4- EAT enough, of the right stuff. Ask for advice from your coach/trainer. Eat to perform and you will absolutely slay your sessions.
5- don’t be put off by anyone or anything else in the gym, they don’t care about what you’re doing, what you’re wearing. You just do you, get in your own ZONE.

Smash the rest of the week peeps 🤛

YO-YO DIETING 🥵
BINGE EATING 😥RESTRICTED EATING 😩THE ALL OR NOTHING APPROACH 😅 CUTTING OUT FOOD GROUPS BECAUSE SOMEONE (who’s not a dietitian) SAID TO DO IT 😳 because it’s bad for you 😒

Who’s done em’? I am guilty 🙋‍♀️

HONESTLY I’ve done them all.

I use to have and sometimes still do have food anxiety when I’m out having a meal.

Although definitely not diagnosed with an ‘eating disorder’ I definitely didn’t have a healthy relationship with food that’s for sure!

I think it’s important to be honest about struggles like the above and I’ve found as I’ve opened up it has been so common for so many and it can really take a hold of your life.

In the last couple of years I have worked really hard in overcoming terrible eating habits. I had tremendous help with a coach last year and I pretty much ‘flexible dieted’ throughout my WHOLE prep.

It’s been such a useful tool when not just dieting but LEARNING about food and fuelling your body for performance and also energy balance.

I decided a couple of weeks ago that I needed to get back into the habit of tracking because I was starting to slip into my old habits. Even though you may be eating really ‘healthily’ you could still be over consuming food unknowingly OR missing out on ENOUGH certain important macronutrients like protein.

SURE I don’t want to be tracking my whole life or every single day BUT I do know that it helps me feel in control, not deprived and continues to educate me about certain foods and their nutritional value. And I really do enjoy hot cross buns daily LOL.

In my past dealings with clients, helping educate and have them understand a little more about macronutrients and flexible dieting have blown their minds. Not just when having aesthetic goals but actually having MORE energy, feeling confident to enjoy a meal out and not feel guilty.

Sure for some it may seem ‘draining’ and yes it can be a little full on when starting to track but it seriously opens up a whole new world to people. It gets easier and way more efficient as you go!

AND who else would love to eat hot cross buns/pizza/choc whatever else may be your fave foods everyday completely guilt free? 🙋‍♀️

WHAT IS YOUR HEALTH LIKE? No truly what is YOUR HEALTH like? 🙋

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF... 🤔

⭐️1: Are you ENJOYING the style of training you are partaking in? Running/weight lifting/cycling/walking/combination?
If you are DREADING doing your workouts, (all the time) we can always fee a little motivated but if you HATE your style of training maybe it’s time to try something different?

⭐️2: What is your WHY for exercising/training? Is it purely for aesthetic goals? Is it because you know it’s important for your health? Is it to feel GOOD? For your mental health? I started playing soccer as a teen because mentally it pretty much saved me. I was addicted to the sport it self but also the mate-ship, the feel good endorphins post training and game.

If your why is mostly for your desired aesthetic ‘look’ perhaps it’s time to look at the more important whys like feeling GOOD, being healthy etc....

⭐️3: If you’re a woman... how is your menstrual cycle? Irregular? Absent all together? Our periods tell us A LOT about our health. If you have issues regarding your cycle, perhaps it’s time to see the doc and or look at your health and fitness habits... if you’re not planning on having kids you may think it’s no big deal. BUT an absent or irregular period can indicate hormonal imbalances, which can severely affect our health overall.

⭐️4: Health looks different on EVERYONE male and female. Some people naturally sit healthily at a higher body fat percentage. Overall health, is not just physical... it’s our mental state, it’s how we feel about ourselves. Again, this can look different on everyone due to what makes us happy in life as a whole and what we consider important.

⭐️5: Our bodies are ageing, changing all the time. Wether we like it or not we are ALL going to have wrinkles, grey hair, flabby bits here and there when we are older. What will benefit us when we are OLDER is looking after ourselves with putting health in 1st place when considering goals now.
Your older self won’t think about 0 cellulite, a ripped rig, your older self will care about what you are doing today to ensure you live a long healthy life on the inside.

So get out enjoy your fitness, enjoy and appreciate your health. Move your body in a way which you ENJOY above all else! Feed your stomach and your mind! in a balanced way... enjoy friends, family and LIFE!
