A very special thank you to our incredible coaches, Crystal Wallace and Lizzie Nunn, for sharing your knowledge, experience and passion with us. Your coaching, encouragement and stoke made the session so much fun and gave everyone the confidence to keep pushing their surfing to the next level! 🙌

And of course, thank you to all the girls who joined us, 16 in total — for bringing the energy, supporting each other, challenging yourselves and making the lineup such a positive and fun place to be. 💕🌊

A GIRLS’ SURF PROGRESSION SESSION

Catch more waves. Nail your turns. Bring the froth.

SATURDAY 15 AUGUST
DUNES SURF BREAK
8:00 AM – APPROX. 1:00 PM

A progression session for girls who are ready to push their surfing a little further, get some solid coaching and spend plenty of time in the water.

WHO’S IT FOR?

Girls who can — or are ready to — paddle in and catch their own waves, angle their take-offs and start initiating their first turns.

You’ll need to bring your own surfboard, wetsuit and surf gear.

WHAT’S GOING DOWN?

8:00 AM — Meet at Dunes, intros, surf chat & briefing
9:00 AM — First surf: 45-minute free surf while the coaches watch and the videographer captures the action
9:45 AM — Snack, refuel & chill
10:30 AM — Coaching session: individual feedback, tips and a few things to work on
12:00 PM — Back out for a one-hour surf to put it all into practice
1:00 PM — Final debrief & wrap-up

The session will also be filmed, with the footage professionally edited into a surf clip for the crew to watch afterwards.

CRYSTAL WALLACE

23 years of surf coaching experience and owner of Yallingup Surf School.

State Longboard Champion turned shortboard extraordinaire, Queen of Third Bubble at Gnaraloo and a self-confessed Twin Fin Fiend.

Crystal brings decades of coaching experience, technical knowledge and a serious amount of time in the water.

LIZZIE NUNN

Surf coach for longer than you’ve been alive 😊

Former National Women’s Surfing Director and surf journalist for Tracks Surfing Magazine, Lizzie has travelled as an assistant coach with various State and National surfing teams.

Decades of surfing and coaching experience — and still more than happy to tell you what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it.
