Area 15 need to play catch up.....there is polocrosse training going on in Area 16 with the wonderful Alice.
Who, and what ages, are interested to have a go/play this great sport in Area 15?

Well what a weekend for the Polocrosse players from the South West.

A "mixed" Devon and Somerset team for the juniors masterminded by Sarah Daniell
A south Devon Moorland team
and a "mixed" Area 15 lead rein team (Archie, Alfie and Percy)

They all played brilliantly, it was a tough competition with the majority of players being in a GB team (other than ours .... yet!) - but what an experience.
Many thanks to Alice who has got them all going.

I am wondering if we should arrange a demo match early evening at the Mini Champs this year to try and get some more interest? Anybody up for it??

Area 15/16 Polocrosse at Crokers Farm, Ipplepen with direct qualification to the National Championships.
- Training in the morning - groups will be based on experience so come along if you want to learn a new sport. All equipment provided.
- Matches in the afternoon.
BBQ & refreshments available.

Four Nations event:

We have launched the nomination process for members wanting to play in the Four Nations competition this July. The link to nomination form and the selection guidance is on our polocrosse page on the website here:

Nominations close on the 30th of April and as part of the nomination process we do ask for a DC / Centre Proprietor reference to be emailed in to the office in addition to the member filling in the form.

It should be an excellent event, at a new host venue near Priors Norton in the Cotswolds. The actual competition is on the 19th and 20th of July but the members have a three day training camp the week before as well.

Polocrosse is a team sport played on horseback and players use racquets with a loose net and a sponge ball to score the most goals.

Polocrosse Rally – for all abilities (all equipment supplied)

The Devon & Somerset branch are running a polocrosse rally for all riders in Areas 14, 15 & 16. It will be suitable for all abilities from complete novice riders to the members of our Pony Club Championship teams. Our trainer, Shaun, used to be the Scotland team coach so has an amazing depth of knowledge and
enthusiasm for the sport.
The rally details are:
Date: Saturday 1 February with hour long ridden sessions between 10am and 1pm
Duration: 1hr of ridden training on your pony/horse
