Starting in 2012, Mitch Dearing is cap number 76 and joined the club as a bowling all-rounder but has since found his niche as a middle-order batsman.

Mitch is a two-time premiership player in the club’s A3 and A2 Back-to-Back flags, while also winning three Peter Bajcic Medals as the club’s A Grade Best and Fairest and the 2016/17 A3 ATCA Association Medal – the first TOSer to claim this honour.

He has cruelly been denied two centuries, his top score of 96 in 2016 against Brahma Dodge was brought up with a six that was caught over the boundary – which the opponents acknowledged after the match (Jarryd Furnell will concur).

He also was on his way to a century against Pooraka in an A1 game, when the opposition decided to pull the plug on the match. Cruel.
A batting highlight was Mitch’s 35 in the 2018/19 grand final, which was critical as he worked with Brad Cameron to stabilise the innings from 3/62 as part of a 93-run partnership. He also scored a run-a-ball 75 in the 2017/18 premiership.

Against Hope Valley in B1 in February 2026, he shared a 101-run partnership with Tarryn Matthews. Club’s leading scorer in 2022/23.
In the final minor round game of the 2025/26 season he became the fifth TOSer to pass 4000 runs and he was the club’s leading scorer in 2022/23.

Mitch has also taken 160 wickets at 16.42 with best bowling figures of 6/33 against Concordia OC in 2015/16. He also has a 6/35 among his six five-fas.

In 2015/16, he became the second TOSer to take 10 wickets in a match, finishing with 11/55 against Flinders University in A3.
He is a three-time leading A-grade wicket-taker: 2013/14, 2015/16, 2016/17.

A passionate and reliable cricketer, Mitch was the ninth member of the Baggy Yellow Club, playing his 100th game in October 2020.
Although he has an impressive on-field record, Mitch has been a steady contributor off-field as well.

He was a committee member for six seasons between 2014 and 2020 and supports the club’s relationship with the College through his position as a teacher at the Senior School.

Digby Walker was cap number 73, a gap-year student. Digby played three games in 2011/12 with a highest score of 33* in an LO4 game against PAOC (batting number nine). Did not bowl.

Nick Hands is cap number 74 and played five games with us in one season (2011/12), across all three grades (his A grade appearance being a T20 game). Batting at number five in his TOS debut, Nick made his highest score for the club of 34. Bowled five overs for 26 runs.

A gap-year student, at the same time as Digby Walker (2011/12), Angus Duncan is cap number 75 and played five games, with a top score of five runs, against PAOC in LO4. Did not bowl.

Travis Head is cap number 72 for the Trinity Old Scholars Cricket Club and, perhaps the highlight of this bloke’s cricketing career was lining up for Trinity Old Scholars against Ingle Farm in a T20 game on Tuesday, 13 December 2011.

Batting at number three, he scored 14 as we made 8/165. He then came on as fourth change bowler to take 2/20.

On small platforms, big careers are made. Travis went on to become South Australian captain and then Australian Test vice-captain. We like to think we played a brief, but critical, part of his development.

Jabba won the A1 bowling trophy and was also named in the ATCA Team of the Year, the second time he has achieved this feat.
Daniel Neumann claimed the B3 batting trophy, the second time he's lead the scoring in his grade during his time with TOS.
