🌸 Training Continues While I’m in Japan!

As many of you know, I’ll be away on a martial arts study trip to Japan — training at the Bujinkan Hombu Dojo to deepen my understanding and bring back new insights for our dojo.

While I’m away, training will continue as usual here in Evans Head, facilitated by Sensei Jenson. I encourage everyone to keep training diligently, stay focused, and support one another — this is how we continue to grow as martial artists and as a community. 💪

Keep the spirit strong, and I look forward to sharing what I learn upon my return! 🇯🇵🔥

Friday Flashback: Japan 2010
Throwing it back to when I took my first group of students to Japan in 2010! Here they are, trying very hard to look cool just before we visited the Hanazono Inari Jinja in Tokyo’s Ueno Park.

It was an unforgettable moment—walking the same paths our martial ancestors once did, soaking up the culture, and realizing that Bujinkan is so much more than what we do on the mats.

Plenty of laughs, a few awkward poses, and memories that still come up in class to this day.

Who remembers this trip?
