G’Day Folks, as you can appreciate dedicating time and effort to a club takes a considerable effort which often means sacrificing personal and family time to make it successful.

I strongly believe that the Evans Head Fishing club has a very good supporter/ participant base however they are in desperate need of some committed folk to become the committee that takes this club forward.

We have reached a decision point and need to make a call on what happens next. If you’re keen to see the club evolve and have the time to put into becoming an active committee member, please reach out to me via this page or PM. All of the hard work has been done, we have a constitution, great sponsors, a marketing platform and a relatively simple method to conduct friendly and inclusive competitions, we just need a committee.

I’m happy to help the new committee to get up and running but unfortunately don’t have the capacity to dedicate to being an active committee member.

An update on the future of the club.
I have been contacted by a few people who are interested in taking the club forward. I will be meeting with them in the next few weeks and will provide a further update post these meetings.

Hello Wobbegongs, I wanted to address the noticeable lack of updates on this website recently. As you may recall, I stepped down as President last year due to increasing work demands, which impacted the committee's workload.

Despite their best efforts, the committee has encountered difficulties in advancing the club.

We are now faced with two possible paths forward: either elect a new committee or close the club and reimburse sponsorship funds to contributors.

I welcome your thoughts and suggestions to help us navigate this decision.
