Unfortunately Mother Nature hasn’t played nicely today and has washed out the opening night of the Tassie speedway season.

Lucas was going to be racing the production sedan and Ellis was going to be debuting the newly built T27 late model, but now we will have to wait until next weekend.

Looks like it’s a family night in watching clay per view.

Regrouping after a tough night in Sydney!

Fuel issues in our first heat while leading basically ruined our chances of competing.

In the final, Ellis was making some progress until a car spun leaving us no where to go resulting in front end damage.

We now have the next 3 weeks at home in our other Late model before heading back to Sydney in November.

🏁 RACE DAY – ROUND 2! 🏁

Ellis and his little crew this week of Dad, Deon and Kaycee have arrived at Western Sydney Speedway for Round 2 of Ellis’s racing season! 🏁

Tonight’s format consists of Hot Laps, 2 Heats and a Final, with racing kicking off at 4pm live on Clay-Per-View!

The Motul Dirt Late Model Series is set on go for the season opener at Western Sydney Speedway this Saturday night.

14 cars will hit the track in a bid to get a first win in the books as we kick off a huge season of racing.

The Tasmanian 28T of Ellis Dickenson has thrown his hat in the ring to take on 13 NSW locals including the heavy hitters, Grimson, Onley, Hodges, Croker, Bayley and Nicastri to see who will take out round 1

Dont count out the rest of this strong field of cars with the likes of Carrigs, Stephenson, Cheney, Letham , Disney and Barnes looking to rain on the parade and take the top step of the podium

Results from Toowoomba!

Time trialed 5th overall
Heat 1 started 5th finished 7th
Heat 2 started 2nd DNF (electrical issues)
Final started 7th finished 5th

Had the chance to run on the podium restarts just did not go our way.

Overall we are happy with the car first night out making some changes in the right direction every time just need to get better at reading a tricky racetrack to find some speed throughout the whole night.

Ellis and his crew have officially checked into Toowoomba Speedway for the first night of the season!

With a field of 13 Late Models, we’re ready to kick off the season and hoping for a much better outcome than our last meeting here last season. 🤞🏁

RUDD’S TOWING DIRT LATE MODEL ALLSTAR SERIES FIRES UP THIS SATURDAY!

A new era for Dirt Late Model racing in Toowoomba begins this Saturday night with the opening round of the Rudd’s Towing Dirt Late Model Allstar Series at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway.

The inaugural track series launches with 13 nominations, and the most exciting part is the strength of the growing local contingent. Only two drivers — Tasmania’s Ellis Dickenson and Cobar, NSW racer Jai Stephenson — are travelling from outside Queensland, with eleven locals entered and more than a dozen Queensland teams not quite ready for this Saturday’s round, it signals and exciting future for the division in Queensland as we expect fields to regularly push beyond 20 cars as the season progresses.

It’s a great sign for the continued growth of Dirt Late Model racing in Queensland and exactly why we’re excited to launch this new series alongside Rudd’s Towing.

Round 1 gets underway this Saturday at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway with Late Models on track from 4:40pm for hotlaps followed by qualifying, heat race action plus the main event at approx 9:30pm.

If you can’t catch the action trackside, be sure to tune into Clay-Per-View to witness it live.
