Thank you to all those who have “like”d this page.
During the next few weeks, the club will host twilight golf croquet on Fridays at 5 pm, byo drinks and nibbles for a social get-together whether you play or not.
This is a great opportunity for everyone to come along and have a go, or just watch for a while and see if it interests you.

Pennant season is now halfway along. Congratulations to the Euroa team on its progressive upward movement on the ladder this year so far.

Croquet on Saturdays at 1pm will begin with tuition for beginners in May and June. All free, no equipment required.

A highlight of the Euroa Croquet Club annual general meeting on Wednesday 20 July 2012 was the conferring of Life Membership on Mrs Joy Hawke.
Joy has been a member of the club since 2005, and almost immediately volunteered to take on an executive role. Since then, she has served for several years as secretary, and a similar period as treasurer.
Even more importantly for the Club, Joy has been a dedicated grounds maintenance person. In this capacity until only recently, she has seen to it that the lawns are adequately watered in summer, fertilised when appropriate, and kept free of weeds and pests. She has been frequently the first person to appear on play days, setting out the hoops and filling in any holes left by rabbits and cockatoos.
Joy plays both association and golf croquet, and has represented the Club in Goulburn Valley pennant competitions as well as joining other clubs on their social days. At Euroa, she is one of the regular players who are always available for any little chores such as helping in the kitchen.
Euroa Croquet Club is pleased to add Joy's name to its honour board of Life Members and hopes to have her for many more years as a valued Club member.

Club secretary Sue van Lunenburg (right) recently competed in the Goulburn Valley Association Croquet Open Tournament at Shepparton, winning in the handicap range 14-20. Pictured with Sue are the other winners of the event: Jenny Kneebone (Shepparton, h'cap range 9-12) and Roger Bird (Ballarat-Alexandra, h'cap range 0-4.5)
