Sunshine Coast Bush Walks As three friends, all local Sunshine Coast residents, we have been enjoying half day bush walking for nearly 10 years.

We all have busy working and family lives and enjoy shorter walks from bush to beach, ranging from 1 to 5 hours in duration. We have a love of the great outdoors, keeping fit, the peace and fresh air of the bush. Our aim is to share our experiences and to encourage others to get out and get walking. The need to produce a book became very evident to us as we were seeking out walks around the Sunshi

ne Coast. The pleasure we gained from our weekly hikes combined with the frustration of not being able to access suitable short or half day walks on the Sunshine Coast within the one publication, resulted in the production of our books.

I have just found a great site for Aussie Bushwalkers https://www.aussiebushwalking.com/ as the site puts it: Like Wikipedia for bushwalkers, Aussie Bushwalking is a user-supplied list of bushwalking and hiking tracks in Australia - made by bushwalkers, for bushwalkers. It helps bushwalkers find new walks, share walks and track conditions and remember their Australian bushwalking/hiking activities. I am sure this will be super helpful for hikers wanting to find hikes or happy to contribute and share :)

Did you know that The Coolum Women's Shed has a walking group? Great for those women who don't like walking alone and enjoy the social aspects of walking in groups.

TUESDAY WALKING GROUP

Tuesday 22nd October

8.00am - 10.00am Free Entry

• Meet outside the toilets in Tickle Park Coolum.

• Remember sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, hat & water.

• No dogs, please.

• PLEASE NOTE: walks will vary in length and intensity, please advise our walk group coordinator if you have any injury or health issues.

• On the first Tuesday of the month the walk will leave from another point - please book in for updated information.
