Check out this mini squadron of AeroScouts having some FPV fun at TCMAC.
The AeroScout is a friendly and stable little RC aircraft that makes a great trainer. With a few mods and a camera fitted it becomes a fantastic FPV platform.

2025 Seaplane Event Cancelled!

The Twin Cities Model Aero Club regrets to advise that our 2025 Seaplane Event at Lake Hume has been cancelled.

Unplanned maintenance on the dam wall has required increased water releases, causing the lake level to fall rapidly. The receding shoreline has left large areas of slippery clay and mud, making the waterline unsafe and hazardous for anyone walking near the edge. In addition to the risk of people slipping or losing their footing, the exposed stumps and trees present further dangers for aircraft operations.

After careful consideration, the committee deemed it necessary to cancel this year’s event in the interest of safety for pilots, crew, and all attendees.

We remain hopeful that lake levels will recover, allowing us to host future seaplane events under safer and more enjoyable conditions. Updates will be provided as planning for the next event progresses.
