Every year at Nationals, there seems to be one moment or conversation that stays with you and sparks a little reflection and this year was no different.

This year, it was a conversation about a simple message sent many, many years ago. A message that so easily demonstrated the deep respect shared between Greenpoint and another club.

“Fierce rivals on the competition floor, with so much respect for each other off it.”

The conversation continued about how each club knows the other makes them stronger. We train harder knowing they won’t be easy to overcome and we know they’re doing exactly the same.

That mutual respect, admiration and drive to bring out the best in one another is something truly special. All sparked by one simple message sent years ago.

What a beautiful moment and a wonderful reminder of what our sport is really about. 💚💜

💚💜 The backbone of Greenpoint. 💜💚

There are some people whose impact on a club simply can’t be measured in medals, titles or years and Renee is one of those people.

Her passion, strength, knowledge and unwavering dedication have shaped generations of Greenpoint members. She has given so much of herself to our teams, our members and our sport, always pushing us to be better while standing proudly beside us every step of the way.

Renee is more than a coach and leader, she is the heart and backbone of Greenpoint DrillDance, and her legacy can be seen in every athlete she has guided and every team she has helped build.

We could not be prouder to see Renee recognised with DrillDance Australia Life Membership. It is an incredible and truly deserved honour for someone who has given so much.

Congratulations, Renee. Greenpoint wouldn’t be Greenpoint without you. 💚💜

DDA is honoured to recognise Renee Olivier with DrillDance Australia Life Membership.
