Today was a huge day at Munen Muso Martial Arts Australia as three dedicated students achieved major milestones in their martial arts journey.

🔴 **Blake** – Congratulations on earning your **Red Belt**! Your hard work, commitment, and determination have been outstanding. This achievement is a reflection of the effort you put into every class.

⚫ **Maria** – Congratulations on achieving your **Black Belt**! This is a significant accomplishment that represents years of dedication, perseverance, and personal growth. Welcome to the ranks of our Black Belts!

⚫⭐ **Eliza** – Congratulations on progressing from **Junior Black Belt to Adult 1st Dan Black Belt**! This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to your maturity, skill, leadership, and commitment to your training.

Today’s grading was physically demanding, mentally challenging, and required each student to demonstrate the values of discipline, respect, courage, and perseverance that we strive to teach every day.

Your never too old to start or start again. Come and train with us!

Age is a number. Karate is a decision.
The biggest lie we tell ourselves is that the window closed. That strength, discipline, and growth belong to the young. Karate rejects that completely. Your body will change at 70, but so will your mind - it gets sharper, more patient, more aware. You’re not here to win tournaments against 20-year-olds. You’re here to win against who you were yesterday. Training later in life isn’t about proving something to others. It’s about proving to yourself that you’re still capable of hard things. The dojo doesn’t care about gray hair or stiff joints. It cares about effort. And the truth is, older students bring something kids can’t: life experience, focus, and the humility to start at white belt again. When you step on the mat at any age, you’re not “too late.” You’re right on time. Because the only person you’re really fighting is the version of you that almost didn’t start.

That’s why the old train alongside the young. Not despite their age - because of it.

We would love for all students, families, and supporters to come along and watch this special event and support our grading candidates as they take the next big step in their martial arts journey. 👊🥋

A Black Belt Grading is a huge achievement and an important part of our Munen Muso Martial Arts tradition. Your encouragement and support means a lot to the students testing on the day.

🏆 SYDNEY CITY OPEN KARATE TOURNAMENT 🏆
What an incredible day today at the Sydney City Open Karate Tournament held at the Blacktown Leisure Centre! 🔥🥋

Team Munen Muso represented with outstanding performances, determination, sportsmanship and fighting spirit all day long. We are so proud of every competitor who stepped onto the mats and gave it their all! 👏

Lewis also stepped up to compete in Sword Combat and, although he didn’t place this time, we are incredibly proud of him for challenging himself, gaining experience and showing great spirit on the competition floor. 👏⚔️

A special mention to Nikita in Point Sparring who was having an outstanding match before an injury resulted in the match stopped and she was unable to continue, but we are incredibly proud of her courage, skill and determination up until that point. ❤️💪

Today was another fantastic display of the hard work and commitment our students put into their training every single week. The future is looking very strong for Team Munen Muso! 👊🔥
