🎭 PLACES PLEASE 🎭

Our TWENTIETH Mid-Year Concert… × 3 🤯

For two decades, one of our favourite traditions has been our raw and relaxed mid-year concert — a chance for dancers to jump on stage, show off their progress and experience the adrenaline of performance in an environment that feels like home. 🟠

Today was no exception.

Three epic shows. Three incredible audiences. Hundreds of dancers. Countless proud moments.

Whether you performed for the first time or the fiftieth time today, we are so proud of you and the courage, commitment and hard work it took to step onto that stage.

Thank you to our incredible extended community — approximately 900 audience members who cheered, clapped and supported our dancers across all three concerts, and who get them to class each week in uniform, with their hair pinned and ready to dance.

Thank you to our team of creative and committed teachers, who never stop believing in and supporting our students. They know each of you by name and by heart.

Thank you to our DanceSteppers for their help throughout the day and in class, and to our amazing Teen and Senior dancers, who performed in all three shows and were an enormous help backstage. Not to mention incredible role models for all the younger dancers who had the chance to watch you perform today.

Thank you to the team at Enjoy for welcoming us into your beautiful venue each year, and to Mode Video Productions — we can’t wait to see the professional footage.

To say today was a success would be an understatement.

As always, it’s never about perfect. It’s about our people.

🧡🟠 WEEKLY TEAM SPIRIT SHOUTOUT – JUNE 8–13 🟠🧡

We’re almost at concert time and WOW… look at this list! 👏✨

You’ll also notice a few classes are missing from the photos this week 📸🤦‍♀️ Between concert preparations, costume checks, choreography clean-ups and general end-of-term chaos, a few photo opportunities slipped through the cracks. But if your class is listed below, you earned your shoutout whether we managed to capture your smiling faces or not! 🧡

The WTSS (Weekly Team Spirit Shoutout) goes to any class with 100% attendance.

Why? Because dance is a team sport. When everyone shows up, steps up and doesn’t give up, that’s when the magic happens ✨

🎀 THE PERFECT IMPERFECT HAIR TUTORIAL FOR YOUR DANCE CONCERT BUN! 🎀

Proof that you don’t have to be a girly girl (or good at doing hair 😅) to get the job done.

If your child performs Ballet, Jazz or Acro, this is how their hair needs to be for the Mid-Year Concert this Saturday.

✨ Secret ingredients:
• Hair net (don’t skip this part!)
• Bun pins
• Hairspray and/or gel
• Soft bristle brush (aka the smoothie brush)

🚫 No middle parts
🚫 No fringes

🧡 MSF bows are encouraged!

If your child also does Hip Hop, they’ll simply keep their bun in for the entire concert.

And in this little dancer’s words…

“See you at the Min-Year Concert!” 😂

The Supermodel Dance is always a favourite in our Funky Petites class! 💃🏼

Not only is it super cute and super fun, it helps little dancers explore spatial awareness, direction and timing — all while building confidence (and a little bit of attitude 😎).

Our Petite Dance Classes for children aged 2.5+ are the perfect place to take those very first dance steps. After all, it’s where itty bitty dancers take big leaps! 🧡
