A very pleasant afternoon to be bowling today for the Prouds President’s Pairs. A great turnout of 68 bowlers, filling all 3 greens. The winners of the day were Bob Siostrom and Greg Pearson with a great score of 58 plus 21. Second place went to Leigh Philp and Max Davey with 56 plus 31. Marg Mayfield and Sid Rolfe came in at third with 56 plus 16.

The final session of winter social bowls started in overcast conditions but blossomed into a beautiful spring afternoon, sponsored by Carpet Court.
The winners were Wally Humphrys,Helen Vercoe and Merv Fisher with 33 plus 22. Second place, on countback, went to Mary Jarvis, John Hewitt and Barry Hamilton on 30 plus 5. In third place were Barry Clarke, Steve Wynniatt and Marlene Richman also on 30 plus 5.
Thanks to the volunteers who made the day happen, but extra special thanks to Helen Vercoe for facilitating the event throughout the winter season.

60 bowlers enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the greens for the final Thursday Winter Social Bowls event, sponsored by Parker’s Crash Repairs.
The winners of the day were Doug Pudney, Pat O’Connell and Sid Rolfe with 31 plus 14. Only 3 shots behind in second spot were Wally Humphrys, Kerry Trew and Sharon Duong with 31 plus 11. Third place was shared between Ken Jarvis, Jill Cunningham and Mike Arnoul & Des Parsons, Lyn Nottage and Mike Everett, both with 31 plus 8.
Thanks go to all the volunteers behind the scenes, but special thanks to June and her team of Jude and Trevor for facilitating this event over winter, with help from Heather and Peter B.

42 bowlers took to the greens for Saturday Social Bowls, sponsored by Shaw Family Vintners. The expected sunshine disappeared after the first couple of ends and it got slowly cooler as the afternoon wore on.
The winners today were Craig Mansfield, Bernice Humphrys and Merv Fisher with a score of 32 plus 20. Second place went to Kevin Fuller, Ken Jarvis and John Cunningham on 32 plus 11. Third place was taken by Mick Hanna, Cliff Gower and Geoff Pfeiffer on 32 plus 5.

myPod Podiatry were our sponsors today for Thursday Social Bowls. Bowlers began in sunshine and then played on through showers later in the afternoon.
The winners of the day were Jean Jackson, Roger Hutchinson and Marty Alsford with a very impressive score of 35 plus 19. Second place went to Trevor Halstead, Susie Kent and Peter Willson with 33 plus 17. In third spot were Mary & Ken Jarvis with David Elliott on 32 plus 17.

Surprisingly warm today for Prouds President’s Pairs, with intermittent showers which weren’t enough to stop play. The sponsors were Five Acres Tree Service. Visitors Keith Robinson from Paskeville and regulars Sally Wandless and Rob Price from Port Noarlunga were welcomed by members.
The winners of the day were Doug Pudney and Trevor Halstead with 57 plus 13. In second place were Craig Anderson and Brian Maynard with 56 plus 16. Third spot went to Brian Lord and Steve Murphy with 55 plus 20.
A great job as always by all the volunteers- thank you.
