We’re thrilled to welcome one of Australia’s most accomplished racing drivers, Joey Mawson, to the IKD Race Team! 💥

Returning to where his remarkable career began, Joey will once again compete in karting—racing a 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗔/𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗫 kart in TAG 🔥

Joey’s outstanding karting résumé includes
🏆 3 Australian Championships
🏆19 State Championships
🏆 Victory in a round of the 2012 CIK-FIA Under 18 World Championship

Joey went on to compete internationally in Formula 4, European Formula 3, GP3, Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. In 2016, he claimed the prestigious ADAC Formula 4 Championship.

After returning to Australia, Joey added back-to-back S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championships and Motorsport Australia Gold Stars to his impressive record in 2021 and 2022.

Joey and IKD’s history goes back to the 2011 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in the UAE, where he finished runner-up in Junior MAX and helped the Australian team secure the Nations Cup. That proud moment was shared with IKD’s Ian Black—making Joey’s arrival at the IKD Race Team today even more special.
