Emu Park Surf Lifesaving Club We are situated on main beach Emu Park, family friendly club. Surf Life Saving is built on a fundamental principle: to save lives.

Our organisation encompasses several diverse arms – lifesaving services, community education, membership services, surf sports, fundraising and training – but they all contribute to one overarching purpose. Queensland’s mainland coastline stretches 6089km and there are more than 780 accessible beaches along that expanse. There are more than 30 million visits to our public waterways every year. Emu Park SLSC is an integral part of lifesaving services to Queensland. We aim to strengthen our community through excellence in service, advocacy and inclusiveness, underpinned by a firm commitment to continuous improvement across all levels.

The Australian Coastal Rowing Beach Sprint Nationals were run over the weekend on the Gold Coast. The sport is Olympic pathway for Surf life Saving Club members and Rowing Club members. The 4 day competition ended up being held in Currumbin Creek, suiting flat-water rowers, and no need for surf skills. Emu Park SLSC member Calli McRae competed in a number of events, with 5 Top 10s & a Bronze Medal:
U23 Women’s Single - 5th
U23 Mixed Double - 🥉(1st B Final)
Open Women’s Single - 13th
Open Mixed Double - 8th
Open Mixed Coxed Quad - 5th
Open Women’s Double - 4th (2nd B Final)
