Abit of practice last night before we leave for QLD championships at Harbour City BMX in Gladstone this weekend.

Thursday night saw us race at our latest round of club championships. It was a good nights racing with Dan lowering his PB in his first race again and later lowering his best gate time as well. Jaxon and Charlotte also had good consistent night. Charlotte has found some extra power in her little legs and has been pedalling harder than ever!. Harrison is getting even more confident doing more of the track by himself!. Going up the jumps is still a little bit hard on his tiny legs!!

Last Saturday saw us race at the “Exhausted in August” carnival at our local track at Mackay. The name of the carnival pretty much summed up how our year travelling has been and it’s not over yet!. Jaxon had a small class of just three riders and he had a fun riding with his friends Emmett and Jaiden from Rocky club. He was happy he got some prize money towards a New Jersey that he wants to buy!. Charlotte had three other riders in her group and they had a great day racing with each other!. They were all excited to get their medals at the end of the day. Dan had the biggest group as his class combined a couple of the older riders! Dan had an awesome day on the bike lowering his PB multiple times during the day. He finished 3rd in his class which is his best carnival result yet. Now to our littlest rider!. He had the best time racing in mini wheelers even with having to be helped by Dad, He was so happy when he got called up to get his medallion! He got the biggest cheer from everyone and melted a few hearts with how big a smile he had!. Overall a great day and just a few short days rest before being at it all again Thursday night for the next club championship round

Been a busy few weeks for us. Jaxon got a new bike as he had outgrown his GT. Only his fourth bike in the four years since he started BMX. He is very impressed in his new Radio XENON bike. He now rides the same pro size 20” as his Dad and he’s only 11!. Hopefully this one lasts awhile!

Thursday night saw us back at our home track in Mackay with only Charlotte and Harrison racing. We originally were going to have the night off but Charlotte decided she wanted to race!. She was the only sprocket girl and had to race with the boys and boy did she go!. Some awesome first straights where she was passing 3 or 4 of the boys before the 1st berm was awesome to watch!. She had a small crash when she slipped her pedals in her 5th moto so she decided to miss her last race of the night due to her sore arm. It gave Harrison another chance to race which he was very happy to be out there. He has gained more balance and confidence after Pine rivers and was trying to go down the jumps by himself. Dad was there to catch him at the bottom so he wouldn’t stack it. It was a fun night for them both!. Now we move onto our local carnival for the year next weekend!

Round 5 & 6 of QLD state series last weekend down at Pine Rivers BMX in Brisbane!. Jaxon rode well against a tough field especially on Saturday at Rnd 5 as it was also the Mighty 11s qualifier event as well where he went up against 26 others. Sunday was good with abit smaller field and he just missed the semi by 3 points. Overall he finished 10th in the state series out of 36 riders. Charlotte had a great weekend of racing getting better every race while excited cause she now has a new helmet that she can do up all by herself now. Dan had a good weekend, had a small field in his group and rode well all weekend. Unfortunately he got pipped at the post on the last day and ended up coming second overall in the series. Our newest racer to hit the track had a great time on track while being helped around by both mum and dad!. Think he was more excited when he got his medallions and prizes each day!!!.

All loaded up ready to head off tommorrow down to Brisbane for the last two rounds of QLD state series at Pine Rivers BMX in Brendale on Saturday and Sunday!. This time all four of us hit the track!. Looking forward to a great weekend of racing and catching up with our southern family and friends!!
