What a fantastic four days of junior tennis for our Emerald players at the Solinco State Age Championships in Gladstone!

A huge congratulations to all of our players who competed and represented Emerald throughout the tournament. 👏🎾

At the Solinco State Age Championships, we’re encouraging our players to focus on the things they can control and learn how to reset when things don’t go their way.

🔴 RELAX – Take a breath.
🔴 EVALUATE – What happened? What can I do better?
🔴 STAY POSITIVE – Use positive self-talk.
🔴 EXECUTE – Commit to the next point.
🔴 TRUST – Trust your preparation and yourself.

Thanks Tennis Biloela for hosting this event! Our Emerald kids enjoyed competing and playing tennis.

… thanks also for the red velvet cupcakes! They were delicious!

A huge couple of days for our club on Monday and Tuesday this week. Hosting the Capricornia trials of the Tennis Queensland Primary School Cup. With over 300 students from the Capricornia region competing in this event during the two days of competition. There was plenty of action out on court and it was fantastic to see lots of smiles on faces, hear the sound of school war cries and cheering for fellow players and opposing teams. This is always a fantastic event with players really enjoying the team environment of this competition. Well done to all of the teams that competed over the two days!!

Thanks to Lauren and Christine from Tennis QLD for running the event and to all of our awesome club volunteers for your efforts setting up courts, baking and working in the canteen.

Congratulations to the following school teams that qualified to play in the State Finals at the Brisbane International in January 2027.
