Emerald Polocrosse Club

A few weeks late, sorry peeps.
The last carnival for the Emerald club saw them head to Bauhinia Polocrosse Club for their 60th anniversary.
The weekend saw many things happen some good some not so good.
Starting with the not so good.

Straight up on Saturday morning Ange decided she wanted a ride in the rescue helicopter. Titus feeling very fresh thought that Ange wanted to have a quick exit off his back. She ended up spending time in hospital but thankfully nothing was broken but ended up with a bruised lung.

Bryan was then requested to step in and finish the game on Titus.
After a previous carnival of playing 2 real games and a fill in one, Bryan was then tasked to double up in 3 more games for his own team. He ended up playing 7 full games to finish the year.

Then came Tamsin's big return to Polocrosse and Jayden's intro to it. Well let's say Tamsin's return turned to p**p and Jayden's turned into gold. Jayden played like he had been playing for years. With all his awesome moves Jayden received the Encouragement award for the Fun Grade.

What a weekend! 😀 Capella Polocrosse Club hosted a fantastic carnival.

Emerald's 3 mighty players teamed up with Nebo/St Lawrence to take out the win in B Grade! 🏆

Both OTT ponies performed beautifully and continue to improve with every carnival. We couldn’t be happier with their progress! 🐴💚

Next is Alton Downs Polocrosse and Sports Club Inc we will see you there!

A group of 3 brave Emerald Polocrosse players ventured out to Bowen Polocrosse Club last weekend and lived to tell the tale. Despite not winning, the team had a ripper time with their 2 Bauhinia teammates and a Townsville newbie. The real MVPs were Bryan and Ange's OTT ponies, who survived doubling up in the Bowen 3 team, what a workout. Bryan and Ange also took home some hardware at presentations, Bryan for best OTT Male player and Ange for sportsmanship, well done. Appreciate it, Bowen. Thank you Tara Polocrosse Club Inc. for a fabulous weekend!!
Sam and Ange travelled down to represent Emerald and played with the Chinchilla Polocrosse Club Inc. crew to make up the Chinchilla 4 team.
They had an absolute blast even if they did breakdown on the way there 😅
As newer players to the sport they were so thankful to the community spirit of polocrosse and all the wonderful people that helped them out over the weekend.

This past weekend saw our one and only Emerald president travel to Townsville Polocrosse Club for their make your own chukka comp. Bryan played with Glenn from Townsville and Annabelle from Pyramid to make up the section called the 3 Musketeers. Playing in the A grade comp they had 2 wins and 2 losses so no trophy this time.. It was a great weekend with a real sense of the Polocrosse family. We will be back.
