Year-End from the NRL Rise Central Highlands!
As we close another fantastic year of the Rise program, we’re thrilled to share that our players have headed to the beautiful Sunshine Coast to participate in the highly anticipated U13, U14, and U15 boys, as well as the U14 and U16 girls rugby league carnival!
Despite facing challenging weather conditions, including chilly temperatures, rain, and wind on both days, our players demonstrated incredible resilience and determination. They gave their all on the field, gaining invaluable experience and honing their skills along the way. Every moment was an opportunity for growth!
On Friday night, we were fortunate to witness the U23 Australian wheelchair basketball selection team in action. The game was captivating, and it was heartwarming to see our team rallying in support of these talented athletes.
We want to extend our warmest congratulations to the U15 boys and U16 girls teams who have successfully completed the Rise program. The skills you’ve developed—both on and off the field—will serve as essential tools as you navigate the exciting years ahead.
A special shout-out goes to our dedicated coaching staff who traveled with us this weekend and staff that have tirelessly trained our players throughout the year. A huge thank you to Reece Kennaugh, Kelli Willmott, Adam Nichols, Steven Bell, Brendon O’Neill, Brenda Nanai, Gee Martin, Mick Clifford, Matt Dux, Kristy Paskin-Dux, and, of course, Theo.
Thank you.
